I have a question about the Bethesda, MD area.  I have a chance for an internship with Reznick group and I would like to know some things about the area.  Are there many things to do, how much does it cost to live there, and anything else you can tell me would be great.  I am decently poor, paying for tuition and all, so fun things that are cheap are a good thing for me.

Thanks

You'll want to rent a place outside of Rockville - if you have a car. Bethesda is expensive. Here's the breakdown:

1. Lots of good restaraunts.
2. No smoking in establishments (any, including pool halls).
3. Decent Malls.
4. Lots of white and chinese people if that's your thing.
5. Bad Traffic.
6. Fast highway access for the bad traffic.
7. Ookii and I live near there. Ookii is actually IN Bethesda.

It's nice. I give it a 7/10.

Best thing about Bethesda is that the fun parts of DC are only a few subway stops away.  Unless your idea of fun is buying lots of crack cheap, in which case you will have to transfer trains once.

This post makes me want to squeeze into my badass red jeans.

Yeah what schild said is right, Bethesda is expensive, but also lots of fun (if you don't smoke).  You probaly won't live in Bethesda, but somewhere up 270, and even that is still somewhat expensive.

And best of all, you can go out drinking with schild and I.

Don't forget Arcadian Del Sol and Lum. I'm sure they'd be up for it!

I'd live in Bethesda just so I could trek down Wisconsin Ave. and get Rocklands BBQ.

Hildigam from P2P lived in MD.  Sadly, I don't know where the fuck he is anymore.

My goodness ... add in smog and Mexicans and you just described where I live (Orange County, CA).

Maybe I should move to Bethesda. It's like home, only with more trees. I'm getting tired of living in a place with no trees.

Um, never mind.
