My latest museum piece.

I'd love to get this working on my PC but I have little hope.  I can probably get the converter to plug it in from somewhere, but drivers?

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Yeah, looks like getting the cable might be the hard part.  The funny thing is that I don't play flight simulators.  Might try it with Mechwarrior 2 if I can find the CD.

When she crossed over, she was just a ship. But when she came back... she was bullshit!

Isn't it just an old-school analog joystick?  Must be a sound card out there that still has a standard MIDI port.

Yegolev, do you post at NeoGAF? I think someone posted there in the pickup thread acquiring the same thing. I think that someone had your David Bowie avatar also. Might be two people. Wouldn't take long to check though.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

If the name was Yegolev, it was me.  Otherwise it was just someone else with good taste.  I mean, that Bowie mug shot is hot.

EDIT for sound card... I haven't dug into my parts graveyard to see what I have, but I think the chances of having an old sound card are slim since sound cards are why I hated DOS gaming so much.  I'm hoping for a more elegant solution.

Here you go, $8.99 on Amazon.  Most sound cards are going to have game/MIDI ports, if you've got integrated audio on the mobo you may even have a jack to connect one somewhere.  Lots of synthesizers and other old-style MIDI equipment still out there.  It actually started out as a MIDI interface, joysticks were an add-on.

Well, in that vein: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829130001

I'm going to start compiling a newegg order, I guess.  My machine has zippo in terms of inputs, nevermind MIDI ports of the D-15 variety.  I hope it plays nice with my "real" sound card.
