Another fake list, ehhhh who knows. Sounds more on the mark for Guitar Hero though. I can personally confirm that a few select titles on here are absolutely correct and they weren't on the other list. I'm not in a leaky mood about this though.

Ummm, every song on that list with a decade number is a direct rip from the Rock Band 2 set list. If there is ovberlap, I'd doubt there would be THAT much overlap.

There are also other ones on that list that overlap as well.

I expect a good deal of overlap. We haven't produced as a world that many good songs that a whole band can play and enjoy. As long as Creep isn't on there, you know. I'd be happy with Rock Band songs on Guitar Hero. Better tabbing + Better Guitar = fun.

Except that the decades is ripped from various Rock Band 2 set list rumors (and maybe even the original release).

And we know I already disagree with you on the tabbing. :)

Sheesh. Really The tab in Rockband is boring as hell. There is nothing wrong with making the tab easier, but keep the expert mode as close to the real thing as possible, and if that is too hard, than people need to play on the difficulty that best suits their skill set.

If the whole point is to make it feel like you are playing guitar, drums bass, then it should mimic it the best it can regardless of your shortcomings. If drums gets such good tab, then harmonix should put that work into the guitar as well.

GH3 tab is just hands down better tab.

Do you even play guitar?

It's a harder tab, not a "better" one. At least if you're going for accuracy. Well, as much accuracy as possible on the musical equivalent of the recorder.

He does play guitar.

In other news, Activision is teaming up with Logitech to make high end Guitar Hero instruments. This is a good thing. Their wheels are amazing.

Especially since not every band is eager to have their music in these games (Led Zepplin for instance).

See, from my anecdotal evidence, most real guitar players feel that the Harmonix charts are more accurate for the songs than Neversoft's in GH3 (I hear they switched it up a bit in GH:Aerosmith though). And it is especially clear that Harmonix tends to stick with the lead guitar more rather than switching between rhythm and lead frequently, like GH3.

It depends on the song really.  Ace of Spades in GH1 was annoying as hell because they added more notes for the guitar than are played (and put the bass in as well in some places) on the main track, which if you play it on real guitar like I do you tend to botch the hell out of it.  GH2 I feel was quite right regarding "tab notes" vs "what's actually being played."  GH3 did okay on some songs, but other songs are just overly complicated for what they are - "Sick Boys" is easy as hell on the regular guitar but they really dinked it up in-game on Hard\Expert and "Raining Blood" is pretty doable on regular guitar with some practice but is downright fucking brutal in-game.  I just wasn't that thrilled with GH3's setlist more than anything honestly.  Combine that with the cartoon style of the characters compared to the previous games and I just didn't really care for it that much.

I like RB tabs more merely because GH3 tries to stab me in the eye when I try to learn using the 5th button.  And you can play with friends while drunk and not constantly fail.

Funny, cause I caught my GH3 guitar trying to stab my RB guitar in the eyes for being fucking HORRENDOUS!.... I let it happen, and may have cheered a little.
