So uh basically you fight evil aliens or something in a world composed of all of Cartoon Network's properties?

No, because that would be awesome.

I can't help it, I should hate that they gave a sort of anime treatment to everything but...dexter was/is and always shall be...awesome

Edit:it looks to have platforming elements, this may never be the hottest online game out there but looks fun.

We played this. A decent bit in fact. And the guys behind it are goddamn swell.

I'll play this the first chance they give me.

When? I got a random link to this and was like, "What the fuck? Why aren't they advertising this?"

It's like seeing doujinshi adapted into an official product.

First playable demo I went to was at GDC. Might've been the first playable demo period, not sure. Platforming worked as advertised.

Turner has a bad habit of creating awesome things and then not supporting them very well. Hopefully things are changing!

When I was laid up a bit I got to watch a lot of this (and other CN series).  I have to admit I liked Ben 10, and totally rooted for Gwen all the time.

They have Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and so it will be splendid.

I have only watched the first six episodes, but it is a bit more mature than the previous seasons.  Five year olds love it too.

They had this up at Comic Con last year. My kids got their hands on it and it definitely worked. No clue when it's going live or anything like that... but working a year ago is a good sign. :)

Beat me to it; yeah I played this a bit at last year's Comic Con also.  Probably still have some blurry cellphone pics of it.

It seemed like fun.  Not ground breaking, but fun.

YARGH holy crap, ever since they showed that commercial with Space Ghost and Fred Flinstone trying to find where they parked, and Speed Buggy was there sputtering in the corner, I was like dammit I wanna play an MMO in that world!

So while I'm sure they won't have everythings, at least they'll have somethings. I'll be keeping my eyes on this.

NECROPOST

My wife and Daughter have discovered that this weekend is a free preview weekend.   As with all free & open betas it's disconnecting and locking-up randomly.  It does, however, look pretty damn good.

https://audience.fusionfall.com/ff/ffLogin.do

That IS the link, it may or may not pop-up as they're getting hammered. Jut hit refresh.

They haven't shut the servers off yet, so I'm going to play until they do. So far this is quite well done, and the tutorial and theme seemed very cohesive. It's certainly leaps beyond ToonTown in the space of MMOs for the younger demographic. The style is nice, and it works the IP into itself in an alternate fanservice universe sort of way. I have a miniature power puff girl who punches shit. Fuckin' a.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.  We had some bumps early on, but it was a very valuable learning experience (i.e. many "hair on fire" moments).  Another Sneak Peek coming next weekend and Open Beta coming up soon as well.

Thanks,

I had fun with it yesterday.  Just got out of the tutorial area when I put it down.

It's going to be great for training kids to play DIKU-style games when they're older, but so far the kill quests have been small, and the fed-ex quests pretty quick.  I'm hoping once they get going they can expand the playstyle to give a little more variety.

I wish you could keep your clothes instead of needing to trade them in for better ones.  In cartoons, a character's looks tend to be a part of who they are.  There is a good selection to start off with, which is why it's a shame to feel forced to change outfits into whatever you find or is available in the store.  Some kind of clothing merge would be welcome.

The zip lines off the KND headquarters and in a few other places are an awesome idea.  I think it was a bug, but getting coco's jump boost stuck on me for long periods was really fun, as I could climb all kinds of places like a monkey.  (Most are meant to, this just makes it easier.  There's probably a nano which gives the ability more consistantly.)

Taking the 'lore' and mashing it together was interesting.  I'm sure there are lots of touches I was missing, however the ones I did get made the world fun.  Is there a Gwen nano?  I need my chibi Gwen.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

It's also impressive how well it plays in a browser window.  I can see this engine getting use elsewhere, if it hasn't already.

You didn't read the press release?  They said they were crosschecking the sexual offender list with their user's accounts to protect the children.

Unity3d is a really great engine, and I hope it gains more prominence, especially after FusionFall. Its nice that it the plugin can be installed without even restarting your browser, but ultimately, like other non-flash plugins, it has the uphill battle of getting people to click that install button to begin with. They've done a great job of making it easy, now they need some killer apps to push the platform to more portals.

No insult meant to GG, but I think it has far more potential in the world of browser 3d than InstantAction does.
