Suckers.

And what are you playing today, Rasix?

Grand Theft Auto 4?

Sorry, I suppose I shouldn't troll.  But really, the amount of rationalization and self delusion is just hilarious, especially from you, hombre.

Enjoy playing AoC.  awesome, for real

Edit: Damn this thread moves fast. There are baby quail playing in my backyard.

I got in, too.  But now I don't feel like playing.   ACK!

I wanted to make a couple of characters but you have quit the entire thing to do that, don't you?  It deflated me.

Shouldn't /camp bring you back to character select/creation?

On the flipside, the fact that it is him may be a good sign.

Well... I know he's at least as jaded as me. So if he's playing, I'm curious.

For some reason I'm not getting the beach intro option though I got it on the Wiccan server.

Also, /camp just is the same as quit now.   swamp poop

Couldn't hear voice the first time, one of my characters sounded like a retard.

Ok, /camp doesn't take you all the way out, just to login, but not to char selection.  I can now opt out of the beach tutorial, don't know why I couldn't before.  I think it's just laggy or broken or fucked up or sommat.

Miracle patch FTW?

Edit: Funcom added an additional PVP server to both NA and Europe. Have to admit I'm rather stunned at the apparent success so far.

Called it :)

So its not total clusterfuckary in game yet? Or is it due to the single player being first (brilliant IMO, get the people hooked before they get to the real messed up parts/server issues/lag)

Still stutters now and then for me.  I think they still have a memory leak or something, too.  I'm running low and it's playable, not great though.

It's running a hell of a lot better than the open beta, I'm enjoying myself so far.  Only thing that bothers me is the low res textures popping to the high doesn't happen quickly enough but there are options to mess around with that.

Not having a quit to character selection after five years in development is amateur hour though.

The forums are up.  http://forums.ageofconan.com/  It's rather lonely because people are bitching that they can't get in.  It's all sort of amusing.  I was hoping to see the clusterfuckery from the inside out, but I guess I'll have to settle for the outside in.  In any case, I'm roasting a nice lamb shank today, baby potatoes, a nice spring salad mix.  And iced tea.

Roasted iced tea? Sounds interesting? Smokey?

What is the total size of patch downloads before you can start playing? And will this correspond to the size of download needed for a client installation from an off-the-shelf copy of the game?

People seem to be saying they downloaded several gigabytes' worth of patches - or maybe that was just for the beta. It's significant in my country where internet access is sold based on monthly download limits.

After 6 hours of playing non-stop, my graphics card decided to get a little hot. Not shocking as it's a piece of shit. Nonetheless, it's been uhmmm... perfect. Other than boss mobs dropping way too little loot for the effort (easy fix, get the fuck on it Funcom!)

My 8800 GT video card is handling the game fine, but no kidding, its getting HOT in that box. Fan is going at max nearly from the word go. Granted, today it was in the high 80s in Seattle, and of course, no AC here.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

It has taken me 9 hours to get to 18, mostly questing, some solo some grouped, and with lots of dorking around in the meantime.
