I know this comes up every once and a while but I couldn't find a list since jan/early feb. With my stimulus check on it's way, and a massive severence check being deposited into my bank account as we speak I am looking at buying a sweet TV and a console to go with it.
Price differences aside, I'm trying to find a list of good games that are exclusive to each console that are out or soon coming out.
Is there an up to date list somewhere I could look at?
If anyone cares, I'm interested in action, adventure, and non Japanese RPGs mostly. I don't care about Mass Effect because I beat it while staying with a friend a few months ago (don't have access to his 360 anymore).
Also how does online play between the two stack up?

PS3 - Already out: Uncharted Ratchet and Clank: Future Warhawk Genji Days of the Blade Lair Ninja Gaiden Sigma Time Crisis 4 Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Heavenly Sword Folklore Eye of Judgement Resistance GT5p
PS3 - Coming in 2008: Little Big Planet Haze (from Free Radical, the Timesplitter guys) Resistance 2 White Knight Story (maybe? please?) Metal Gear Solid 4 Metal Gear Online Disgaea 3 (!!! - killer app confirmed?)
PS3 - Future: Gran Turismo 5 FFXIII FF Versus XIII The Agency Final Fantasy VII Final (BELIEVE!) Shin Megami Tensei (whatever is after Nocturne) Persona 5 Eight Days Heavy Rain Naruto Unleashed (or whatever)
360 - Already out: Halo 3 Culdcept Saga Senko no Ronde Dead or Alive 4 Blue Dragon Bullet Witch Gears of War 99 Nights Lost Odyssey Perfect Dark Zero Saints Row Shadowrun Tenchu Z Viva Pinata Forza 2 Bioshock (until this Fall) Naruto: Rise of a Ninja Mass Effect
Coming in 2008: Age of Conan (lol?) Alan Wake Infinite Undiscovery (Japan most likely for now, 2009 here) Theseis (maybe?) Ninja Gaiden II Operation Darkness Spectral Force III Too Human (?) Tales of Vesparia
Xbox 360 - Future: Probably a new xbox because microsoft has its head up its ass and Halo 4.
I probably missed a few things. But only a few things. The future for the 360 in terms of exclusives is completely and totally fucking bleak past Ninja Gaiden II. Don't ask me how this happened, I don't fucking know.

Sweet thanks!
Besides the 360 games I have played in the past year (GoW, ME, Dead Rising, and a few others) I really don't recognize more than a handful, and only one or two at most that I woudl actually get. Meanwhile, just from reading f13 I recognize quite a lot of the ps3 list.
I'm thinking ps3's the way to go.

(Apparently) Yakuza 3, another Wipeout, another Getaway, Tekken 6, Red Dead Revolver 2, InFamous, Valkyria Chronicles. Not sure after that. God of War sometime next year, I guess...

Yakuza 3 is being localized but won't release until 6 months after Yakuza 2 in the states. In other words, artificially dragging out the release date. Wipeout is a PSN download - tried to ignore unboxed stuff. Getaway sucks cock and you're a bad person for playing it. Tekken sucks (and will probably be cross-platform). Red Dead Revolver isn't even on the radar and will be cross-platform - as will LA Noire. Infamous will probably never come out.
And fuck yea Valkyria Chronicles, I don't know how I didn't remember that.
And yea, God of War.

Ah, I thought rockstar was doing at least one thing exclusive to PS3.. and RRD was it. I'm thinking ps3's the way to go.
If you go for it, get at least Uncharted for now. It's super-good.

Personally, I'd wait for the 80GB with Metal Gear Solid 4. Ah, I thought rockstar was doing at least one thing exclusive to PS3.. and RRD was it. Rumor has it GTA4 already outsold Halo 3. I highly HIGHLY doubt Rockstar is in the business of exclusives anymore.

Honestly, after all I've read about it Uncharted alone had me leaning towards ps3, and now that I see the list of exclusives with quite a few games I would like to play it pretty much pushed meover.. I plan on getting Uncharted and gta4 when I get the ps3.

Uncharted is still probably the best "new gen" game I've played. It's really a masterpiece and I liked it a great deal more than GTA IV (thus far at least). But I don't see that changing.

Again, PSN game. Didn't list digital downloads. Except ones that came boxed also. I wish there were a pc version of Uncharted! I will kill you.

If the dipshits can roll out GTA4 DLC as a bullet point, I'm rolling out Pixel Junk Monsters.

I found Uncharted cool, but really nothing special. The gun battles where average, with the controls not being very good, and they drag on and on and on and on. The "adventure" parts are very cool though.
Personally, Xbox wins for me cause the controller is sooooo much better than the ps3 one. Also, Xbox Live > Sony Network. Home is still an unknown. Sony has Blu-Ray, Xbox has downloadable movies and tv shows.
You cant go wrong with ether one, but if I could only have 1 it would be my Xbox.

The biggest drawback to the 360 is that there are very few good exclusives for it if you have a good PC. Dead Rising currently is the main reason I'm still happy with purchasing a 360, because I fucking love that game. I'm also still really looking forward to Too Human. Schild did leave off a few current and upcoming 360 exclusives (console exclusive anyway, as some are on the PC as well) from the list though, including Dead Rising, Beautiful Katamari, Crackdown, Ace Combat 6, Left 4 Dead, Banjo Kazooie 3, and Fable 2.

The future for the PS3 only ever looks good because almost all their quality titles have always been "just over the horizon". You could have posted half of that PS3 Future list back in 2005 (more than half if you take out all the games like Persona 5, FFVII, and Untitled Shin Megami Tensei Project that hasn't been heard from since 2005, that haven't been announced in any real capacity and could end up on the DS or something for all we know). In 2008, 360 has Ninja Gaiden II and PS3 gets MGS4. After that, it's pretty much Resistance 2 and GoW2 at the end of the year. Exclusives for both systems are pretty bleak right now and it doesn't help when games like Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, and Eight Days, literally haven't been heard from since 2006.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of fun and I love the look of it, but I think people are starting to expect way too much out of it at this point. It doesn't help that it's been sort of tied in with Home which has been suffering from delays. It's another example of stuff that gets announced way too early. That kind of thing has been a pretty big problem in the last couple years and it's gotten me to the point where I don't want to look forward to any games because it could be 2-3 years before it actually comes out, if it ever does.

Conceptually, not technically (although I'd be surprised if LBP didn't have a very heavy focus on tying into Home in a lot of ways). They were announced together at GDC, showcasing the direction Sony wanted to take PSN in. LBP also has a lot of the same sandboxy feel that is one of the main selling points of Home, but has actual gameplay elements to it as well, making it an ideal complement to Home's launch (or at least the launch of the open beta). Both have had similar delays and now Home open beta and LBP are both tentatively scheduled for fall of this year.

News from MS's Gamer's Day should be up on sites later today supposedly, but a bunch of stuff is already popping up here and there. Of particular note, Fable 2, Banjo 3, and Viva Pinata 2 are all due out this year (in addition to Gears of War 2, and hopefully Too Human). I had pretty much no interest in Banjo before, but the Lego style gameplay of this one has got my attention. Viva Pinata 2 is also a bit surprising, especially the card generator aspect. Probably won't buy it, but it does look nice.

Considering that Fable 2 sold well, they probably haven't learned that it was actually a shitty game and will repeat their mistakes.

I don't know. Apparently Fable 2 is already content complete and now they're just working out bugs, so it's not like they're out there promising a bunch of stuff that won't make it into the game. The combat looks a little simplistic (my main gripe from looking at videos a couple months back or so), but as a sandbox-type game in a fantasy setting, it looks like they've built on the parts of Fable that were successful, plus it has the added benefit of multiplayer. It obviously won't have the depth of something like Oblivion, but it still looks good.
