My friend just moved in with me and we're looking for some Co-op PC games to play because we've exhausted all of our 360 ones. No point in suggesting R6V (either one), Gears or Ao2. No limit on the genre.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is probably one of the best same room coop games I have played in a long time. Also, do a search, I think this thread comes up every 3 months.

I did do a search, but most of it was 360 games we've played or PC games that have 360 doubles we've played. Also, the Wiki PC co-op link is dead in the other thread.

What system are you looking for, PC? If so the coop possibilities are fairly low. You could try Dawn of War. You can play online and just put you and your friend on the same team. I do that some times.

Dwarf Fortress isn't "co-op" per se, but it should still be fucking hilarious if you do it right.

 Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I second System Shock 2... though I've found it's a bit too easy in coop mode, it's more "tactical" (who gets what loot, who covers who, etc) and less "scary". There were also some connection issues, but if you're playing on a LAN, you should be fine.

Duo'ing in MMORPG's. They're really the only co-operative games on the PC still attracting funding. I fondly remember co-op System Shock 2 but I also know that was a long time ago.
