Odd that they'd have it release so close to FFT: A2.

Not really. DS games are a dime a dozen for them. They just crank them out and everyone buys them. I'm definitely getting IV as it seems like something that had a little fucking effort put into it. But man, Squeenix is all about the money grab ever since FFXII/DQVIII. This Final Fantasy VII Rebirth shit has gone too far what with people only really wanting an FF7 remake.

Basically: Forget VII and remember VI, you motherfuckers.

I seem to be buying more DS games than anything else anymore.  The World Ends With You, Etrian Odyssey II, and FFIV will be mine.  Also, I'm really looking forward to Twilight of the Arnor.

I've never bought a GTA game before, but I'm seriously thinking about picking up GTA IV just based on all the multiplayer modes.  Other likely purchases include Age of Conan (unless I get into an open beta or something before it releases, and I find out it sucks), Ninja Gaiden II, Lego Indiana Jones, and Operation Darkness.

If I had a Wii or DS, that list would probably double, since I love Mario Kart games, and I'd like to try The World Ends With You, FFT: A2, and the FF Wii Ware game.

Persona 3 FES is the only must buy on that list from my first glance. In fact, if I have to sell plasma to get it I will.

Deadliest Catch for PC is listed twice. I love that show. If it weren't for WW2, I'd be lobstering off Maine.

Anyway, Mass Effect PC, if it doesn't slip. Then Spore in September and GTA4 PC later this year. That's all that's on my radar this year.

4/16
Okami - Wii - Have it for PS2, but it seems made for this platform.

4/23
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES - PS2
Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor - PC (download) - Though I'll actually wait until they bundle this and the last expansion together in a box.

4/30
Neverwinter Nights 2 Adventure Pack: Mysteries of Westgate - PC (download) - I'll think about it. NWN2's girthy sysreqs made it run ponderously on my machine, even when nothing in paritcular was going on. And I still haven't bought the first expansion.

5/21
Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures - PC  - Preordered.
Supreme Ruler 2020 - PC - Like the last one, I like the concept, but it will probably be too complex to actually play.

5/28
Mass Effect - PC - I get this free, so I guess it doesn't count. Sure will be nice to finally play the game I spent three years on. Assuming my machine can even run it.

Looks like this spring will be mainly MMORPGs and mods for me.

The ink isn't liquidy in the Wii version, the colors are washed out, and everyone says the controls were tacked on.

Btw, it was MADE for the PS2. Ohhhhh, I see.

The Wii version does support 480p and 16:9 widescreen though.

Not good enough. Mostly because it's one of those obvious things. As in, if it didn't support 16:9/480p on the Wii, THEN that would be a seperate thing to complain about.

Also, it's Zelda with a fox. Bored me to furry tears.

So supporting 480p and 16:9 widescreen isn't good enough, but the ink not being liquidy is something worth mentioning?

Well no, the ink not being liquidy is what doesn't make sense. The Wii could handle it and it would feel like you were painting with the wiimote. Or at least Larping a painter. And for whatever reason, it's not present. It's the lack of it that's surprising. Just like it would've been if they hadn't added 16:9 and 480p.

The list is pretty light on everything.  The PS3 only has two big exclusives on the list, and one of them is a $40 demo.

If I'm not using the pointer to paint in Okami, there's no point in getting the Wii version.  I don't recall if the PS2 version had prog-scan or 16:9, but many PS2 games do so I still don't see that as a big whoopdedoo for the Wii version.

These days I hold out for a good all-in-one expansion bundle. I hate that they are starting to release Gold versions (original + 1st expansion) and then release a second expansion. C'mon, guys, Gold should be original + expansions.

I won't even finish the game. It's just the first GTA I'm gonna give a good chance. Also, Dual Shock 3 :) Also, My PS3 isn't likely to die on an 80 hour game. My 360 has been relegated to arcade games. I fear it's just gonna blow up.

I am so pissed.

Also, Gungrave characters.
