Since I've never done anything with contracts yet I thought I'd post here first to make sure I don't rip myself off.
Specifically what I'm trying to do is two things, I have some True Sansha's loot to sell and I'm looking to buy some decently researched BPO's for ammunition.
Is their any tricks I need to watch/watch out for? I'm guessing they are pretty straightforward as far as auctions. Just go to a trade hub to make sure the most people can see it, post up the contract with starting price, buy out, run time etc. and let it run?
"Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the Universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."
JMO, but I have found that if you want a quick sale, and are willing to set a fair price, then item exchange method actually works better than the auctions.
Don't know what kind of ammo BPO's you need, but I saw some complete hybrid ammo and missile BPO sets in Jita yesterday.
General tips about contracts:
* Use "simple view". * Avoid Freeform contracts. Those used to be rife with scams. * Look over the merchandise to make sure it's what the description says (duh). * The search function is much more useful now.
I was fighting in low-sec with my RvB alt. A guy in Vent told how he sold a Drake BPC for the price of a BPO The buyer obviously didn't bother to check. He petitioned and everything.
Moral of the story is, not much has changed since old Escrow market was removed. Check what you're buying.
I put max runs ME20 BPC's for all missiles and all ammos in Sankkasen, and they're not being used I think. If you want to use BPC's instead of BPO's till they run out, might wanna just ask for the Sankkasen ones. Might as well use them; they sit there useless.
As for contracts, I've been setting up item exchange to sell BPC's. A quick scan of the existing contracts should give you an idea of what stuff is worth; the interface has many options for searching and works pretty well. You can also set up item exchange to buy stuff, though I don't think you can force the ME level of the blueprint you're getting.
