Sadly, the only thing that looks interesting on that whole list is the trailer for Resistance 2.  I assume that the main point of this post though is that Home is listed for July, but I can't really be bothered to give a shit about Home.

Home will cause me to buy my crossplatforms for the PS3 instead of the 360.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Echochrome, Flower, Whipeout HD, Siren Announcement, Domino (game? No One Can Stop Mr. Domino maybe? or Domino in Home? Wouldn't that be Dominos?), Elefunk, Dark Mist, etc. etc.

Also, all of this is PSN. No one knows what is on those other tabs.

Because I only get crossplatforms for 360 at the moment, and I only do that for the Achievements.  Even if the PS3 version looks better.  I prefer the PS3 overall (NO the bluetooth controller, YES the XMB not looking like a NASCAR car) but that whole Achievement thing has me by the soft ones.

I probably should have added "as long as Home doesn't suck" but I figured we could all assume that.

I buy my crossplatform for the 360 because I think the 360 Controller is >>>>> PS3 Controller.

Also, because I don't have a PS3, but see above for that explanation. Give me a one more good exclusive (besides Uncharted, that game has me *this* close to getting a PS3) and I'll have one though.

I'd only use two > in comparing the 360 and PS3 controllers, but I agree.  It's because of the Sixaxis connection issues (which are probably more due to the base unit), not because I have enormous mitts.  Well, the bumpers are crappy on the 360 controller (Tenchu Z), but the triggers are hot.  Replaceable batteries are good.  I don't appreciate the misaligned sticks (Beautiful Katamari).  D-pad is substandard to the PS3 one, but that might be opinion.

Someone needs to make a console that uses the best parts of all the others.

I still don't get the draw of Home, but what the hey - it's free.  I'm more interested in in-game XMB (rumored to be dropping with the next update).

As for the controllers, I'm with the '360 Pad > DS/Sixaxis' crowd.  That upper left position is where my left thumb falls naturally on either and, I'd rather it was one of the analogs than the d-pad there in pretty much everything that isn't a fighting game.  Also, the analog 'flipper/trigger' things on the Sixaxis (and presumably the DS3) suck, though hopefully the DS3's will be less mushy and vague.

I haven't had any connection issues with the Sixaxis, but the left analog has felt like there's some grit in it since day 1.

What I'd like to see for both systems is something like this, where you can swap the position of the d-pad and left analog as necessary.

As a quick tangental question - what's that game like? The reviews panned itbut a friend was going on about it the other day, and now you mention it.

Devil May Cry 4? Dynasty Warriors? I think it has. Hot Shots supposedly has a nice install also.

By just about every account I've heard from people who have tried both versions, DMC4's 20 minute, 5GB mandatory install doesn't make enough difference in load times to be worthwhile.

I don't think people who can't wait 20 minutes for an install are good judges of what is and isn't worthwhile.

While it was installing, I started playing Culdcept.

As opposed to the people who are annoyed by load time being 2 seconds longer?  Plus, with a 5GB install you either need to go out and get a new Hard Drive for your PS3 (especially since Capcom seems to be leaning towards mandatory installs for all their games), or if you ever uninstall the game, you better hope you never have the desire to mess around with it again for a couple hours.  Having to wait 20 minutes to play after getting the urge would pretty much kill any chance of me ever playing it again after beating it.

Hm? I have 2 60GB PS2s. I really don't see myself running out of space any time soon.

But then, hard drives are cheap, and my systems are all plugged in to places where I have like 3-5 options for gaming. So, yea. I'm the ideal candidate for hard drive installs.

At the same time - I'd prefer to wait 20 minutes and shave 2 seconds off each of the 200 to HOWEVER MANY load times there may be in a game from start to finish. And DMC4 seems to be full of them. Like, more than most games. I eagerly await, with open arms, the SF4 and Lost Planet: Colonies installs.

So, 200 loading screens at 2 seconds saved per is about 6 minutes, 40 seconds.  So you're still spending 13 minutes, 20 seconds waiting for the install.

Just giving you shit but 2 seconds on a loading screen doesn't really bother me.  Waiting to start to play a game that I have to install for no real benefit does.  Course I hold console games to a different standard.

Simple solution for DMC4 would have been to make the install optional.

Of course, after that 20min install (or not) you get to sit there with your thumb up your ass for 15 of the next 20 mins while the game streams FMV at you....

I didn't really think much of load times until I got brawl and noticed the difference between it and SSBM, which had practically zero load time.  I am all for options to decrease that shit, why not have it if you have the choice?

Since this is turning into another 360 vs PS3 thread...  Ohhhhh, I see.

I like the 360 controller so much better. I cant stand the left stick placement on PS3 (or PS2) and the new trigger buttons are horrible. I kept thinking they where going to break off. While the 360 triggers are very smooth and solid feeling.

As to the Duke Nukem comment, I was referring to the lateness of its coming. Wasn't it supposed to be ready at release?

Stick placement on the 360 controller only really became an issue for me when playing Beautiful Katamari since it literally prevents me from dashing.  I absolutely cannot do it nine out of ten times.  Otherwise it's only a minor bother.  I don't like the 360 d-pad either, but overall it is the better controller.

I haven't found any bugs in Tenchu Z, and I've put about 30 hours into it.  It's rather relaxing to me and I play it slowly and methodically, where most other people run-stab-jump-slice-etc.  It will get monotonous for most people since it's just your custom ninja killing people all the time, plus buying skills and clothes with your earnings.  Really, there isn't anything to the game other than killing people in various ninja-y ways and buying clothes so you can play dress-up, but knowing this you might have a good time.  The two things it does, it does rather well in my opinion.  I enjoy sticking to the ceiling way too much, but it's lots of fun when someone walks under me and I kill the shit out of them.  There are not enough differing levels and you will take on different missions on the same level even though story wise it is usually a different location that somehow looks exactly the same as another.  The controls are about 90%, after I changed Crouch to RT instead of RB.  If you aren't sure, play it for ten minutes and you will see most of what the game has to offer, minus the cool skills like sticking to the ceiling and fun items like bear traps, dog bones and the ocarina that sounds like a cat and magically disappears after you use it.

I considered putting a larger hard disk into my PS3, but I can't come up with a solid reason at the moment.  60GB is plenty for now.  I'd like for PS3 disk installs to be optional just on general principle (it's a console!), but I'm definitely a start-the-process-and-go-make-a-sandwich guy.

I'm just guessing here, but the ps3 install thing. I think it has something to do with most games on the system being able to be patched. Out of the 5 games i own now, 4 get patches infrequently.

I mean, we did go from the ps2 generation where nothing was patched (except the rare game like ffXI), to down loadable content, online play, and serviceable (patchable) games. I guess they need to put some stuff on the HD. I realize that having files on the HD is a requirement that really relies on the games design, but hay.. can't really patch a blue-ray can ya?

And thats my depreciated 2 US cents on the matter.

I don't think that's it.  Do you own a 360?  Games there can have frequent updates.

No, i don't. I don't know, i was just thinking out loud really.
The patched games didn't install anything? Not even a  Profile or system settings or the like (other than the patch its self)?
