And I forgot to set a fucking skill for my main. I've already lost 11 hours of training :(

While monitoring the progress of the patch deployment, a database issue came to light that we felt was important to address as quickly as possible. In order to ensure the best quality patch possible for our players, the estimated time for the downtime has been potentially extended as we correct that issue. Restoration of service could happen as late as tomorrow afternoon but may be as soon as this evening. Please watch the MOTD and our website for more information as it becomes available.

Ouch, I was lucky enough to glance at my computer and see the downtime message like 30 minutes before it went down.  Changed from a skill with <1hr left to an 8 day one.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Focus V is due to me mistakenly setting that before heading off on holiday at Christmas.  Because it already has a lot of the training done, Evemon now recommends it as worthwhile in my long-term plan for that character (including HACs then command ships).

I'm not sure yet which comination of dread/carrier/rorqual/rhea to go for.  Probably the goon character will join capswarm, so he'd get a free dread: the pre-req skills are about 70 days away for that, still, but if Delve is still going by then I should get to join in.  In order to ease my conscience about avoiding doing that before now I paid for the remaining skills for another goon to do it as my Secret Santa for him at Christmas.  He is my nominated dread pilot.  Flav might go for any of the capitals, but probably a carrier would be most useful for now, and I can afford to keep replacing it.  I'm worried that the Rhea would be just too big a target, for the moment.

First rule of patch deployment - there is always extended downtime. A friend of mine was completely oblivious to there being a patch.

Aaaaaaaand fuck.  I had just changed my skill to train up a short one instead of a Level 5 I was working on.  Already lost a days worth of training now.

Those assholes really need to implement the skill queue they've been "working on" for fucking ever.

Meh, I swapped BC IV to HAC III last night. HAC III finishes in 1h 45 minutes and I'm flying to a place where I'll have no net access for the weekend straight after work tomorrow. If it's not back up before 8am Eve time tomorrow I won't have anything training through till Tuesday.

Heavy Drones V, bitches! 17 days left, then my Myrmidion starts dropping 2 Ogre IIs, 2 Hammer 2s, and 1 Hob 2. Let's see those pesky-ass "Hello, we're 11 cruisers firing missiles at you" mercs in "Break the Will" stand up to that. :)

So should we expect a week of random down time while the patch settles in?

I swear I've been getting that random moving around of the overview since before 1.1, or was 1.1 supposed to fix that?

For me it's not random or anything, it's every fuckinh time I dock, the overview moves into the centre of the screen.

Bah.
