I think there's a general feeling that more ops would be a good thing, so I spoke to Aegis and they'd be delighted to have any of you guys along on a couple of patrol (ie roaming gang) ops they're running this week.

The places and times are:

When: Tonight, Wednesday March 5th, 1900 Eve Time
Formup Mista or X-R3*
Ships: Small stuff: fast cruisers (mwd if possible), ewar, or frigate-class ships
- Op over, HAC, BC, Frigate killed; 2 Frigates Lost

When: Sunday 9th 2000 Eve Time
Formup: Mista
Ships: Frigates/Cruisers/Battlecruisers

------------------

I'm not FCing either of these - I'll only be on the Sunday one - but there will be guys on both of these from Deii Feram and Aegis Militia who you've flown with several times.  If anyone is interested post here and I'll get your name to the Aegis folks to convo you.  I'll also post a shared channel that you can join to x up in, as well.

Kinda short notice on tonight's one I know, and it's pretty much euros and students in terms of the time but if anyone still has ships in the neighbourhood from the weekend it's only a few jumps from Naeel and Dital, and there is usually a good half hour from formup to setting off on these things.

If that is 19:00 Eve time I should be able to make it home from work just in time.

That would be great, Horazon: I forgot a bunch of Aegis people had been in the F13 channel

Same for me.

Raises the question, what time zone does Aegis usually operate in?

We have a lot of euro members in Aegis, but there are a decent number of US members, too: in Deii Feram some of our keener PvPers are in the US, while the other director, Amarr, is an Irish gadabout artistic fop (which translates to "heavy drinker" in most non-Celtic countries) and seems to hang with the US guys quite a bit.  One of the Aegis directors seems to organise most of his stuff in US timezones, too.  There can be little doubt, however, that in later US TZ coverage BC would be the dominant force for now.

Awesome!

I can't make either event, but as long as most can, that's fine. This does lead to two questions though:

1) Is most of -BAT- in Europe?
2) Since we seem to be getting on good terms with this Alliance, are they mostly Europe?

I'd love to get more involved with the PvP/0.0 element, so am hoping there's a U.S. timezone contingent as well. Meanwhile I'll be grinding missions smiley

How have you found it?  If you need pointers on areas to rat feel free to ask.  The space down in the south-east of the Ombey map, PI5- and further, has the best truesec and so better spawns.  It also has plenty of outposts now.

I also have some spare GSCs at our POS and can give you one to anchor in a safespot if you want: makes ratting way easier, especially with the new, bulkier loot.

A top tip is to log in just after downtime if you can, and quickly check the belts for True Sansha spawnsL: it's not that they're more likely to turn up at downtime, so much as the fact that others won't have killed them yet. I once got three in two systems in the space of 20 minutes that way.  Instant 80 million payout in True Sansha items.

I'm having a good time.  I've mostly been hanging around within four or five jumps of a station named Deliverance Reclaimed, or something like that.  I always keep an eye on local of course, but haven't even seen anybody that I would regard as a potential threat yet.  I've had some nice convo's with some of the CVA and Sylph guys.  I'm probably going to haul some more ships and equipment down soon, and look around the region more.  So far I like what I see.

I also have a pirate who I'm considering going straight with.  Obviously his sec would need to be rebuilt.  Could that be arranged if I decided to do that?  Without being set blue his flashy red -10 sec status would get a lot of attention in Providence I think  awesome, for real

So far I have gotten one True Sansha spawn:  True Sansha Large EMP Smartbomb and some lesser faction loot.  And yes, it was right after downtime.

Roberik, one of our members who had been in Aegis before, just joined DF with sec status of around -5.  So long as you are in a blue corp it won't matter.  We have a lot of CVA members who are flashing red because they fight a lot in the Mista-Misaba pipe clearing out pirates.  Feel free to let me know in advance and apply to DF and I'll cover it if anyone asks.

Count Elseix in for the Sunday op, was a pleasure to fly with you guys in Delve.  If somebody wants to pm me or post here more info one what ship roles are preferred/seen as more useful that would be great.  I've got Amarr Cruiser 5, Amarr frig 4, Amarr bs 4 and BC 4 for reference.

Ok, I think I'm missing a 0.0 lesson here. So we fleet warped to a gate and a HAC targeted me. My reaction was to report and damp, but the FC said he is a friendly and gave the command to jump through through the gate. Soon as they do that I get blown up by the HAC.

Also, when flying into a gatecamp warp to something other than a planet, because apparently it's common practice to have an interceptor waiting there. Or I was just one very unlucky dummie in a capsule.

Anyway, that was pretty informative still. One thing that was annoying was how everyone ignored my request for a squad booster, even though I informed I have several Leadership skills trained.

Wait, the FC told everyone to jump through even though you were aggressed and he knew you'd been targeted, leaving you behind?  Argh.

As regards what to warp to, a planet is fine.  Personally, I never choose the first or the last on the list and I never warp at 0 or 100.

He saw where you warped, and warped to there. Due to their 9 AU/sec warp time he surpassed you on the way. Impressive tackle by em :)

I dont know what happened with Nelke, it is really possible that this Vaga locked you first, and then you dampened him, forbidding yourself at the same time to jump to the next system. ( agression )
In a general manner, even if you get lock, shot at etc.. report it and dont do anything until the fc says so.

Vae Victis should be blue to us, i ll try to have a word with the vaga pilot to see what happened.

Anyway, op wasnt so bad we got a sacrilege, a drake and a merlin.

When is that damn "boost" patch though CCP is not making the fix I think is needed (fitting reqs are stupid high on tier3 beams, a little too high on tier2 pulse) it'll be fun to play w/ the new Omen fittings.

Because he's in BAT, the VV pilot would have seen him as neutral, not blue.
