Is there a demo? I didn't see one on the site.
I was entirely uninterested until I read last week that it was made by some of the Desert Combat guys. They made a tight game, and I'm inclined to believe they can do so again.

Checking Xbox live for demo...
Just got the xbox live demo, got to play it for about 30 mins before getting my son up for school, first impression is that it seems like a better Battlefield: Modern Combat for Xbox 360. It has some neat new feature, with the choice of making a class with diffrent abilities. It has you decide on what type of soldier you want to be: Assult= Medium ranged weapon or assult rifle guy Heavy Weapon= your light machine gunner Anti Vehicle= big stick that blows up both ground and air vehicle's Spec Ops= silenced weapons Close combat=shotgun! Sniper=sniper weapons
Then you pick your abilities: Air Support Role Drone Technician Role Countermeasure Support Role Ground Support Role
Not sure how you level up the support roles, but didn't have enough time to play around with it. It was fun with the drone, I launched a heli and guided it into a guy on the ground. The map I played was big and had a bunch of vehicle's, I ended up playing anti vehicle and blowing up a helicopter and some tanks. Seemed pretty fun so far...

Not sure how you level up the support roles By killing people, basically. The more kills you net, the further the progress meter goes, opening up the 3 specials within the..um...specialties.

At First Glance. (Of the site and info)
There is no medic. (This is a team game? Did i miss the medic stuff?)
Rather Generic "Sides".
Generic set of equipment.
Lots -o- Drones.
While it has a few interesting features (Class and role), i'm not seeing a lot here that really any different than anything else. Guess i need a PC demo.
I really want to make a strong comparison to ENEMY TERRITORY : QUAKE WARS...

Right back at ya :)
EDIT: Destructible terrain, how destructible are they, and will it REQUIRE Aegis?

I think when I installed the beta MP client, it installed the AEGIS software.
Not 100 percent though.

I guess it depends on if they throw out debris as rigid objects, or its its all just animation in the object. Watched a few videos, i'm more interested now.

Yes, it should install AGEIA. I noticed when it showed up on my Start Menu. I'm slightly annoyed when games auto-install a second copy of software I already have installed. It hasn't caused any problems I'm aware of, but is it so freaking difficult to pause the installer with a pop-up that says, "This game needs AGEIA physics software. Do you already have it installed? If not, we'll do that now."

The price via Steam is pretty appealing. US$50 is just AU$54.
On the other hand, I hate the idea of my (non-Valve, or cheapo) games being tied to Steam. So I'll wait.

I just assume that physical copies for the PC are already dead, and if a game doesn't offer online distribution it doesn't exist. That works well for me.

While I prefer physical copies, my bias isn't against online distribution, but against shit I own being tied to Steam for online authentication via Valve every time I turn them on.

I hate how rifle fire is automagically inaccurate. Such as, I am laying prone, zoomed in....assault rifle still cannot hit a target at medium-long range.

I had this problem when I did the MP beta demo thing. It seems you can see further than you can actually shoot. I was zoomed in on a guy with a sniper rifle and shot 3 or 4 times. Nothing. Moved forward about 10 steps, zoomed, and popped him.

No, I don't mean that I am beyond the hit detection range. I simply mean that the gun is not accurate enough; even when laying prone and squeezing off single shots, the trajectories vary wildly, as if I was spraying instead.
Sure, I can accept that multiple limb/body shots won't down a target from down range (body armor and such), but if I have a scoped assault rifle, and I am playing a highly-trained soldier, and doing everything I can to steady my aim, I expect that first shot to at least Try to be close to where I am aiming.
I would do a BiiF, but I don't actually own the game; I just played the SP stuff for about 1 hour or so, total, at GS tonight. It was a slow night.
Or do you think 1-2 hours is really enough to do a write-up with?

Found a local indy place with it for $59. For the extra $5 I'll gladly take the physical copy over the Steam version. But first, I'll wait for the PC demo, and see if they can unfuck their game after what seems like a classic MMOG-style release...

The Demo's been delayed as they attempt to fix their broken-on-release game. I'll probably downlaod the demo at some stage, but I might give this one a miss...

Xbox 360 has been good so far, I went ahead and got the game as the demo was fun.
The stand alone game is good, my son is tearing it up like usual (I end up watching him in CoD4 too), the multi player is fun, sometimes it is wonky to connect to certain servers, but then xbox live can be wonky anyway.
Only real bitch is not having a medic class, suprised they left that out.
