So yeah, today we ran around 7 deep and tried to gank a Greek guy (see the War forum) had some fun playing chicken w/ some others and got helm killed in a bubble trying to get into 0.0 space.  But I think it was sorta fun and we talked over some basics and could have had some pewpew in lowsec but felt kinda out gunned.  We set up SS's, scouted people, Rav flexed his mad intel skills and I'm pretty sure Colbert almost got podded before he got to us.

While having a wardec target to hunt might have been nicer it was still good to fly around and remember that there is more to the game then grinding missions diku-style.  So I intend to do it again tomorrow, Sunday, if people are up for it.  There isn't really a super-official anything component to this.  But if you want to fly around for some sort of potential pewpew try to be online around 1900-2100 so you can come with.

I was informed that I should have posted a thread about it instead of going w/ word of mouth in the channel.

Things people flew to give you ideas:
Tackle Frigs (speed + point; web optional)
ewar frig/cruiser (jamming = 4tw)
dps cruiser
bait ship  (we didn't have one of these but I think it would be a good idea, a nice heavily tanked Maller/Vexor would do it)

So yeah, hopefully I'll see some of you on around then, if you wanna come just join vent around that time.  Also if anyone else wants to come up w/ a good plan of  what to do, or wants to take over as default FC, ffs please say so.   Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I should be able to make it.  Only have T1 frigate type stuff available, so not sure if I can do much more than tackling.

I reallllllly need to work on my security rating. I've taken too many hits.. so if we're in low-sec, I can't come.

We were trying things that wouldn't involve us taking anymore sec hits.

Speaking of, would going after rats we could take down with a small group in lowsec qualify?

Assuming a number of us are trying to raise our security rating.

got helm killed
Ahem.

Me and my MIGHTY REAVER survived, so we can contribute our "awesome firepower" (tm) again.

Somebody else jumped  into 0.0 before me and got himself killed (Nelke ?)

Just so people get an idea about how much you regain through missions:
I did a l4 Worlds collide mission yesterday (one of the bigger combat missions). It upped my sec rating by 0.235%.
If you kill a ship in low sec, that doesn't fire back at you, you lose 2.5%.

So is this today at 20:00? (Sunday is the 17th...)  If so I will try to make it in my Vexor.

That was a ridicolous gatecamp. I'll remember to check Map statistics next time.

We're contemplating on creating a ratting bait-ship. I had no trouble getting chased by lone pirates earlier today while getting my security status up, but at this time the population is much higher and it's highly likely to get jumped by more than one ship. I'm suggesting we could have the "fireteam" jump around safespot in a neighbouring system while a tanked bait-ship waits for a bully.

I wish Helm would find a way to rig that Reaper with high-explosives or something.

That was fun.  Thanks for organizing, Hoax.

It didn't exactly go according to the plan, but I learned some things, and got to participate in another kill (this time with no security loss, yay!).

Yea - I talked to the anti-pirates a bit while we were the next system over. One good thing is we still have the advantage of surprise if we try it again.

Yeah I dont want to get too specific about things in this forum but I've got some better ideas for how we'll setup next time, beyond just being less dumb and not getting the frigs jumped, though if that hadn't been at the absolute worst possible time it could have turned into a great fight.

Aegis Militia are running regular 0.0 sweeps and gangs and I could probably persuade them to let you folks come along if you are in BC, F13 or other not-red-to-CVA corps.  Basically, it would give the chance of PvP on a more regular basis (there is an op this Wednesday, leaving the empire formup into 0.0 at 1900/1930 Eve time, for instance) for those whop are sitting around midweek looking for direction.

lulz, my bad.

So anyhow, I'm going to be online at 2000 and if others are also I'm going to be looking to take off and do something.  Since I believe that is Euro nighttime and its a holiday here in the usa.

Euro-Time = Eve-Time +/- 1 hour.
