Oh yeah, their jackets and pants are the best. I am not a huge fan of their shirts, they are a bit to pretty. The jackets are really sweet.

You obviously haven't seen the high end Affliction stuff in person. I would wear that shit under a blazer to a goddamn 5 star restaurant. The brand has it's up and downs like any brand.

I've owned penguin stuff before. I dislike the shirts immensely.

That website just screamed "hipster" to me.

Granted, I am no paragon of fashion. My wardrobe, such as it is, is very muted. Except for my ski shirts, the "loudest" shirt I wear with any regularity is just a vertically-striped white/blue/black dress shirt with an angle-striped matching tie.

Hmm, I find it sort of odd how much some of you guys seem to be concerned with putting together your outfits, I guess if it helps you gut laid then more power to ya. I'm fashion impaired and sort of "out of the loop" though so I probably shouldn't criticize.

I like Gramicci pants, good materials and construction. I've got a bunch of nice fatigue green ones they don't make anymore. The belt is sucky if you want to tuck in your shirt (I don't), but the gusseted crotch is the best thing to ever happen to pants. I hope I don't ever have to wear regular crotch pants again.  NDA

Black t-shirt.

Black long sleeve collared shirt.

Belt.

Black jeans or slacks.

Casual dress shoes.

Done.

(Some designs are alright, but I also don't like anything that's obviously a logo or too flamboyant.  A lot of those Affliction shirts are cool, but I'd want them to tone it down.  I'd wear this one except I don't need it and would rather not spend $50 on a shirt I don't need.  Were I rebuilding my wardrobe, I'd probably get it.)

So having different taste is now trolling?

Obviously this is a sore issue, or you're bored, but yanno, I'm not getting bent out of shape by the fact you like different things, and I fail to see how saying that I would wear a design that was like that is trolling.

EDIT: And I wasn't even responding to you, I was responding to Llava. I was commenting that of all the shirts that he picked out of there he picked one that I almost liked too. So, whatever.

I only give a shit about my work clothes. I'm a sucker for Hickey Freeman and Facionable although my wallet doesn't let me indulge quite the way I want to. I let my wife buy my casual stuff.

Falconnable is for grandpas. Weirdly, I used to love that shit. And somehow, as I got older it got less appealing until I hit the mindset where only people over 65 should wear it.

Hickey Freemans triple-mercerized polos used to be a staple of my work clothing though.

I already had a girlfriend for multiple years that wanted to dress me. Never again.

The new Ecko Cut & Sew stuff is super hot though. So is the Liz Clairborne spring collection. I just picked up a blazer and two new pairs of jeans and christ are they great.

The one fashion tip I've accepted from a woman is "lose the baggy pants". She was right.

I'm always being told to get more "bright colors" though. Can't do it. Unless it's white. Sure as hell ain't gonna start sporting pastels anytime soon.

It's a piece of material sewed to the seams all around the crotch so that there isn't a seam right in the middle so your willy is more free to roam around your trousers with no fear of snaggage.

Facionable suits are very nice if you can find the ones made in Italy rather than Canada except they go for twice as much. Don't know how a three-button Italian suit classifies as "grandpa" but it looks like you don't wear suits to work so have a different frame of reference.

Ah. The suits. Not the I HAVE A YACHT, THIS IS MY SHIRT clothing.

That's different.

I guess I would have to see a pair of pants with this to really understand what the point would be.

Also, I don't like roaming. Roaming would get me in trouble, which is why I have to wear boxer-briefs constantly.

I have a few of those as they are more in my price range. The John W. Nordstrom ones are nice too.

Did we notice how the guy on the right has a huge muffin-top and the guy on the left doesn't?

Hrm....

Anyway, I've never had to stop and think about the crotch of my pants before this thread. Now that I have, I feel better about myself.

Thanks for that picture, I didn't want to have to take a picture of my crotch. If you are the exhibitionist type though, I imagine the gusseted crotch would be a great way to break the ice at parties, "hey check it out!" awesome, for real Wear them with some nice boxer briefs and your nutsack etc. will thank you.

I've had hit and miss with the Gramicci shirts; got one long sleeved T-shirt (discontinued model) that was really bad, thin fabric and a huge neck hole, but also got what is probably the best made shirt I've ever owned, a hemp/cotton sort of sweatshirt with side panels sewn in, had to get a second one of those. Anyhow it was no problem when I had to make a return. I think there are a couple stores in the Phoenix area that have their stuff in stock.

Righ has some lovely suits that he hasn't had to wear in years, except for the odd funeral or sommat.  He looks lovely in a suit but, geez, who needs 'em if you don't have to wear 'em?  I'm all for comfort.  I do most of the clothes shopping for him online and I look for soft shirts with no tags, comfy jeans (never bought him the gusseted ones), soft, tagless man-knickers, everything should be soft and non-binding.  Soft, soft, soft.  He's in charge of buying band/concert tees.  He has eleventy one bajillion.  I have 0.

The Merrells I bought during a Eurotrip a few years ago are starting to get old. These are the ones I plan on replacing them with: Merrell - Apollo

The ones I have now are ultra-comfy and durable, like a wizard's sleeve. A wizard's sleeve for feet.

I got myself  my first Affliction shirt.   Holy shit  that thing is comfy. and in the size I would wear, it's form fitting but not obscenely tight like  Nike Soccer gear.  I've gotten good  remarks about it, but I'm going to go slow on new aquizitions until I plateau at a smaller size.

I tend to dress like I'm going hiking everyday: cargo shorts, t-shirt, and flannel. I'm sure grunge will popular again someday, and then I'll be super hip. I just picked up this shirt:

http://store.valvesoftware.com/tf2/img/zooms/zoom_tf2-tee.heavy-mens01.jpg

It has turned out to be pretty awesome looking. Clearly, it's not classy, but it's one of the nice long torso t-shirts and the artwork takes up a good part of the shirt, so it looks good. My current preferred jeans are Lucky brand. They're expensive but damn are they comfy. I need to see if they have a version with a gusseted crotch; I like the idea of being able to dance in them without busting a nut.
