Involves running around in Scholomance AND Stratholme?  I may as well just buy a regular epic.

EDIT:  Seriously, has anyone even set a foot in there in the year since BC?  What a crock of shit.

I did it with some friends, but they were l70 at the time and your situation is different.   It's really only worth it if you need the bag space and have a crew capable of pwning the place.  Or if you want to save yourself some gold, since the mats aren't as ridiculous as they once were (though some of the quest costs are fixed.)

On the upside, the boxes in strath now sparkle if they have holy water in them.  No more checking every damn box and having 4/5 of them be one of those annoying traps.

The warlock quest is similar, except you have to go to Dire Maul.  But, it saves a couple of hundred gold to get the quested mounts, and if you're geared in BC gear, I doubt the runs would be too hard with a few people.  I always see people putting together groups for Scholo and Strat, not so much Dire Maul, so the paladin quest'd probably be easier to do, even with random yahoos.

I would try to pug it if you don't have the crew to handle it.  If you don't seem to be getting anywhere after a week, just buy a standard eipc.  The quest mount is nice and all, but I  can see where this would be a pain in the ass now.  Hell, it was a pain in the ass when I did mine and that was well before TBC.

The warlock quest is fun tho.  Our Guild is always happy to run folk through it and it's actually a giggle at lvl 70.

The warlock quest is a blast.  Even the solo part had some interesting stuff in it.  I still have the items sitting in my bank in case anyone ever needs to do it, it's that much fun.  There's very few quests that match how different and cool that last summoning is.

On the other hand, I don't think the paladin quest is as fun, though, though I could be wrong.  I think it's more of a pure 'hit things over the head' type of deal.  But, still, it's a couple hundred gold, and if you're cheap like me, that can make it worth some hassle.

No argument from me;  I've never done it and everyone I know that has says it's a pain in the ass.

I've done both.  The warlock quest is much better.

Yeah, but the pally horse has that cool dust trail effect.

Witty banter not included.

If you send a message to DarkVengeance (seriously) he has the back door key for scholo.  Makes it' a lot easier.

Dire Maul was the most annoying part, just because the quest for the key to the other wings is pointless and irritating.  I solo'd Strat around 67, and Scholo at 70 (protection spec in BC blues, for what that's worth)

It was actually tougher to duo when I took my wife down to get her horsey; I forgot about the boss using mind control when there's more than one person.

I did the pally horse quest at level 60 with the help of a level 70 shaman. It was pretty intense cause resto shaman does exactly do a lot of DPS.

Can't you solo the undead strat part?

Definitely not at 60.

My advice is do the quest. With a group of 70's it's a piece of cake, and the more paladins in the group it gets even easier due to the mechanics of the fight, and getting a group to do the quest isn't as hard as you might think.

If you don't know anybody on your server who can help, make a post on your realm forum boards or ask around in General chat. You can usually find sympathetic level 70 paladins willing to help.

At any rate the UD Strat part takes like 10 minutes, it's incredibly easy. The warlock quest is much more of a pain.
