I played on my "real" server last night lest my friends forget me.  I was on this morning, dinging a massive 7.  I may be around today/tonight.

I've never leveled in the undead lands before, despite 3 or whatever years of playing, so it's interesting for me.

Witty banter not included.

I've got a couple rolled on VC: Insanika (13 Undead Warlock) and Sangwynne (8 Blood Elf Mage - sort've looks like Peggy Bundy :D). I'll make note of names and see if I run across any of ya.

I was drinking when I wrote this, so sue me if it goes astray.

I left my "real" server to play with you saps.  How's that for commitment?

Unfortunately, I usually play during the day, EST.  But I plan to play a bit more in the evenings.  Well, unless someone has bought me something really cool to read for Xmas.

So it was pretty dead last night.. just us 4 catasses who are 12+ and poor dead Snake Charmer. (Really, it's just the Murlocs.)  Everyone burnt already, or holidays?
Holidays.  6 family members arrived last night.

I'm flip flopping between my troll warrior (because I have a thing for playing the least played races) and my undead warrior (because I hate having to pop bandages after EVERY SINGLE FIGHT).  Anyone have any useful advice on which way to go?  The troll is higher level (not by much at this point, obviously), but the undead seems to have better warrior racials.

Anyone got anything about trade skills we have/need?

Once I get this sorted out, I'll probably join... who do I whisper for that?  I've seen Nebu and Righ around, but I don't know who all has invite priviliges.

I was told there is no plan except to plan to fend for yourself until\unless things get rolling.  Which works for me.  I'm doing enchanting for fun and mining for the money.

Did they make it so that you can't transfer money from horde to alliance on the same account using the AH?  And if so can I use a trial account or something to do it?

You have not been able to bid on auctions on the same account since patch....1.2 or 1.3.

Trial accounts basically cannot do anything that involves the transfer of money and/or goods between accounts.

Damn.  Why would they make it not possible on the same account when you can still do it if you know someone else on the server that you trust?  Bastards.

Because people were using it to bid-up their own auctions, mainly.

There's a few of us still playing; nobody on ATM who has invite priviliges, though.  Usually things are busier in the evenings.

Righ and I spent most of today at my sister's house for the annual pizzelle making.  I should think he'll be on a lot over the holidays.  I see Nebu on quite often, too.  HE'S ON RIGHT NOW!  HURRY!

There are a good 3-4 who are always on when I am, so it is impressive to see if it works.

I am enjoying it quite a bit. My lock is 15 now and rapes face not to put to fine a word on it. Though I have played blood elves before I am into to new content. Questing is good and I haven't had to grind a bit. It is all good I tell you. Very much looking forward to grouping and instances.

I started with nothing, and I still have most of it

I'm not a complete idiot... Some parts are still on backorder.

I've been having a blast with my BE Rogue. For some reason, the BE has been more fun than the Undead one I deleted. Probly it's because all the expansion content is new to me. My Alchemy is up in the hundreds now, so I'm starting to make some half-way decent stuff. All are welcome to free potions and whatnot.

All I have to say is watch the hell out for the RP gestapo.  They will really ruin your evening (along with almost causing multiple group wipe-outs).

As in the RP gestapo that freaks out if you don't RP?  Or the RP gestapo that freaks out if you DO RP?

So I've been meaning to ask, Helm - what's your secret to seeing the American servers? You're physically located in .de, right?

The RP gestapo that insists that you DO RP, and then says you do it wrong and has other people try and coach you in the "proper" methods of RPing your character.

I think it's just a change in a single file.  I've got an old SWG guildie in Turkey that plays on US WoW servers.  I can ask him if you need to know.  I know that's the way it USED to be, but don't know if it's still that way.

Some bloke on the WoW forums once said:

Quote
1. Open realmlist.wtf in your text editor of choice.
2. Change "eu" to "us", and save the file.
3. Open World of Warcraft and play on US servers.

Ignore is a wonderful thing.  I plan to use it if/ when I encounter these folks and their silly [[omg can't you rp?]] brackets.

Yes, I know where the convention came from, I know what it means and I know the "Proper" uses for it.  It was still lame when I cared enough to visit those places.

I just install the US-Version. Never had to change any settings as far as I can remember.

Burrick, can you log in and transfer guild leadership if you're not playing anymore? (You're 11 still so I figured that's probably safe to say).

I know everyone is the same rank, but there's only one guildmaster.  We can't promote anyone.

If anyone is still on Earthen Ring I'm rolling an alt for each class and going with a levelling guide so if you wanted to bring up another class we could quest together.  Most are horde but I also made an alliance shaman to see what their towns look like and such.
