WTF is up with the quest chains on these things? I'm currently stuck with just doing the Skyguard ones since the others all require 5 person groups to kill the freeking bosses in order to qualify for them.
This wouldn't be so bad if there were actually 5 people that needed to do these. So now I'm stuck with only 3 dailies that I can actually do.
Blech.

Kinda agree, but the thing is, if ANYONE kills the bosses, you can get in on the loot. They drop objects that anyone is able to loot that is on the quest, so you don't need to be part of the 5 man that downs him to get it.
Keep in mind to access the Netherwing you need Artisan Riding and have completed at least one group quest that requires you to be in the group to make it happen. So the Ogri'la / Skywing ones are actually easier to access than that.

Just join the LFG channel with those quests up as what you are LFG for, and hang out in Blade's edge for a few minutes during primetime, I always saw people looking for more for those when I was levelling in august/september.
Those mobs unfortunately are really not doable without a tank and dedicated healer, as they hit for like 5k on plate. (we tried it once with a pet tank + healer + 4 dps and it did not do so well).
Netherwing dailies may require the 5k mount skill, but you will be back over 5k by the time you hit exalted doing those and selling the grey item drops you get in the process.

Eh, where does one find these "Netherwing" dailies? So far I have only found the Ogri'la and the Skywing (Skettis) ones.

There's a quest chain in Shadowmoon. Starts over by the Sanctum of the Stars. Look for a wandering Blood Elf where all of the Netherdrakes are flying overhead. I'd just link it, but can't remember the name :)

Complete the quest chain Kindness, get your riding skill to 300, and talk to Mordenai again to pick up the quest chain to open up the Netherwing dailies. I think slog's point is that no one needs these group quests now. The Slaag one in particular is obnoxious, as there is no reason for anyone to be up there short of running the unlocking skyguard quest (the first one is solo, the second one is typically completed by a group that flies up there from Shatt and flies out in a matter of minutes). If you don't have a group already formed standing around won't help - no one will be there and we don't pay to stand around waiting for someone else to a) need this quest and b) have a guild to throw a group together to clear it. The 5 man block in the kindness questline is no peace of cake either, my spriest finished it by conning guildmates into clearing half a dozen group quests in SMV one night while my rogue has had it in the quest log for 10 months now (since before the netherwing faction line was complete). Unblocking these daily quests solo is a pain in the ass, but that is probably attributable to a desire to keep Netherdrakes and Netherrays as special or unusual mounts more than an intentional desire to cut solo players out of daily quests. It probably comes down to poor planning to put the bulk of the dailies into the same bucket as the bulk of the available faction grind for two 'special' epic flying mounts.

Those quests aren't that difficult to get done - even on relatively low population servers at off-peak times. I just hit 70 on one of my newest characters a few days ago, on the Ravenholdt server, which is one of the lowest pop RP-PVP realms. I got the Ogri'la quest series done without much problem, only took about 30-40 minutes (an hour tops) of asking in LFG - and this was at about midday server time, not primetime. Just keep pestering LFG about it. Call the quests by name, and point out that they unlock Ogri'la dailies - a lot of people do not know this! You wouldn't believe how many 70's I've run into that have been 70 for quite some time and still haven't unlocked those dailies and didn't even know those quests led to a whole new daily quest hub opening up. Note that if they've never done the quests, they can get them on the way to kill the first Gronn, too, some people might be put off by the thought of a long solo chain before they can even do the group stuff.
A key point to remember: They can be done as a raid. No, you can't technically complete the quest while you're in a raid, but that doesn't matter because of how it works. Form up a raid. Go to Son of Gruul and kill him. The item you need appears as a groundspawn. Drop raid, loot groundspawn, then reform raid and move to the next Son of Gruul. It can be useful to inform people of this, and get as much help as you can, especially if your tank and healer aren't uber. Every single one of these quests operates on groundspawn system, so you never have to kill one of these bosses twice, no matter how many people you get to do it. Yeah, if you're having trouble getting 5 it sounds harder still to get a raid, but...most people are more willing to do something with the promise of it being easy.

The trouble I've had with getting the Netherwing dailies started isn't the riding skill, have it. The trouble I have is that I'm one of the last to get it in my guild. So, since people that are already doing the dailies can't attack those ogres, they can't help me in that quest. That, to me, is an even bigger block. It would take me minutes to get people in my giuld to help me, but that isn't possible.

You can kill the ogres in blades edge even after your crowned king/queen. They just complain at you while you do it

Healing classes can still heal on Zuluhead, so really all you need is to find some DPS that can do it. A hunter pet can tank him if there is a healer keeping it alive usually. But ya, Zuluhead should be like Ruul and the stupid drakonids and see through the disguise.

Next to nothing in DPS, so if I have another healer in the group just healing, we'd have a rough go of it.

Zuluhed is hostile to all players since 2.3, the rest of the chain can be done solo.
