I'm now sitting on 183 million ISK after buying the T2 learning skill books, those were obviously first priority.  Now I'm looking for ways to best make use of the remainder.  My current skills follow:

I'm contemplating the following courses of action:

1. Getting the skills for implants and jump clones and filling a clone with stat-boosting implants to accelerate the learning curve.
2. Letting the skills just come at their own pace, buying a cruiser to go out and shoot my way through missions as fast as possible.
3. Same as #2, but with a destroyer.

I'm still at rank 1 for missions, so I worry that a cruiser's medium guns won't hit the frigates in the missions worth a damn.

Any advice'd be appreciated.

You realize there's a secure method to do it now right? With no risk of ripoffs or need for GM intervention.

Yep.  I'm not worried about being ripped off, just giving F13 people first crack at the game time if they want it.  If not, I'll just find someone on the eve forums, no sweat.

Another way (I got bit doing this) Is to buy it on Ebay, with a newb char, then tell paypal you never got the item, they will refund you, as the person will have no tracking number.

You may want to read this. Specifically the part about the learning path. And the amount of time it saves you.

All my learning skills are level 3 and I've got +1 implants in for all but charisma. I have not made the instant recall IV jump yet, but I'll be doing that soon. I want to train a few more skills before I make that jump (which will take about 3 days worth of training, for eidedic memory + logic) Mathematically, you save about an hour per day point of primary stat, and 1/2 that for secondary stat. Get them to 4, the difference from 4 to 5 takes 20 days and pays off only after a year.

Here's the training order btw:
   1. Instant Recall I
   2. Analytical Mind I
   3. Learning I
   4. Instant Recall II
   5. Analytical Mind II
   6. Learning II
   7. Instant Recall III
   8. Analytical Mind III
   9. Learning III
  10. Instant Recall IV
  11. Eidetic Memory I
  12. Eidetic Memory II
  13. Eidetic Memory III
  14. Analytical Mind IV
  15. Logic I
  16. Logic II
  17. Logic III
  18. Learning IV
  19. Eidetic Memory IV
  20. Logic IV
  21. (Order does not matter)
          * Spatial Awareness I
          * Spatial Awareness II
          * Spatial Awareness III
          * Iron Will I
          * Iron Will II
          * Iron Will III
          * Empathy I
          * Empathy II
          * Empathy III
  22. Train Spatial Awareness IV, Iron Will IV, or Empathy IV, based on whichever attribute is the highest (Perception, Willpower, or Charisma). (i.e. If Perception is your highest of those three attributes, train Spatial Awareness IV.)
  23. Train Clarity, Focus or Presence to level 4 (again, based on your highest attribute).
  24. Repeat the above two steps for the other two skills.

Totally stolen. Thanks goons!

I hit Instant Recall IV in four hours; unfortunately when I made the character a year ago, I mostly ignored the learning skills.  After all, two week trial, what did I care about learning faster when the time could go for more immediately useful stuff?  I'm putting things in order now to get my learning on track before tackling other skills.

If I were you, before I did anything else I'd get Cybernetics 1 (which takes something like 20 min's) and a full set of +3 attribute implants.

Agree with the implants.  Get +4's if they're cheap enough.

+3s are about 10-11m last I checked. +4s are about 12-15m.

However, +3s only require Cybernetics 1 whereas +4s require Cybernetics 4.  swamp poop

Hell if someone wants to lend me that kind of dough, I'll do it; otherwise, I'm sticking with my +1's. I really think +3s are simply out of reach at 15m each.

I had to research science 3 to get cybernetics 1, but I think that research pays off even with the +1 implants.

I kind of wish someone had done the math and stuck those two skills into the basic training order assuming you have cash for +1s, +2s, or +3s.

+3's are around 8-9 mil a pop. Buy all but charisma.

If you want I'll lend you the cash.  But only once you get a jump clone!

Well - Paypal won't provide the seller with any information unless they subpoena them. So, I don't know if they require a police report on the stolen credit card or not.

My guess is, you just say, I never got it. And paypal says, "OK!"
