Someone really needs to break down the modes/difficulties for me. I'm still in D2 mode.

It's been done in 2 other threads. I'm not linking to it. Go find it. :snarl:

Oh.

Well, technically it's 6 lines.

But what the hell, I'm at work.

Normal = Normal, levels 1-30
Elite = Harder Normal, levels 1-30, unlocked after Normal, only new characters can be on this
Nightmare  = Hell difficulty. Levels 30-50. Unlocked for individual characters after they finish the game.
Nightmare Elite = Unlocked on Elite characters after they finish. This is known as "die" mode for most characters.
Hardcore = Permadeath, Normal.
Elite Hardcore = lulz

Is anyone else trying elite hardcore? I'm at level 12 with a near-death but other than that it's been gravy. I haven't seen any other yellow names in stations. Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I've seen some in the day when I usually play.  Maybe they're all European!

My elite hardcore is going to be a guardian. It's probably the only way to do it atm.

I'm looking forward to it. I'm less afraid of lag deaths in this game than I was in D2.

I will be in 3 months. When the memory leak is fixed. Once I can play for 10 hours straight without a CTD.

I've got a spare set of the fiery gloves in elite mode as well. They seem to be a much more common drop than the flaming skull was.
