Usual asian free thingie with purchasable goodies, similar to the basketball one we talked about a few months ago.

http://www.gametribe.com/gt/kicks.do

It's a street-football very fast stupid NikeŽ-ad like game. But if you are even remotely into football, this will probably hook you to death. If you can play lagless games and as soon as you'll grasp the subtle mechanics you'll probably be dangerously addicted already. And it has live rankings for multiple stats. For real.  awesome, for real

Oh, it goes commercial today. (That was the point of starting a thread)

Sorry, he's right.

This game does look like a overgrown Nike viral ad though, I will agree...

No he's not. But hey you can discuss it with FIFA or UEFA if you are in for a challenge. Maybe you can convince them to change name in FIS or UES. Stuff like that.

Not my fault they are wrong and stubborn about it.  You'll have to bring your complaints up with the NFL I'm afraid.   awesome, for real

FIFA = 1904
NFL = 1920

I don't know where you come from Teleku but assuming you are from the US (otherwise you are just a wrong ass), I can say it's apparent that you still have a problem with your european origins, or the european origins of most of the stuff you do. And the  awesome, for real face can't help you here. Acceptance is the first step.

Or bring your complaints to the Mayflower.

The score is tied at zero-zero.  It's definitely soccer.  I'm guessing the clock near the score means it's four hours and thirty minutes into the game.

I hope it has an endgame where your character comes to the US because some kook thinks he can popularize the sport here.  Success can be measured by how large a paycheck you can score despite the total indifference of the public.

Americans are so precious about their silly little games. Maybe if they actually had some proper sports instead of rugby-for-idiots and rounders-with-delusions-of-cricketdom, it's be easier to take them a little more seriously.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

It's my god given right to harass people who come on to an American dominated gaming forum and get huffy about us calling it soccer  tongue.  I'd be doing the same Falconeer kept going on about smoking fags or having to get the peanut butter biscuits he baked out of his car's boot.  Language differences are hard for some  wink.

And do not even attempt to call cricket a "proper" sport.  Any sport that stops for TEA TIME needs to get rid of the sports designation right there. Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

American dominated gaming forum

Time for a few close-to-international words: Sir, you are officially an idiot.

WUA is a different beast, he can make us all laugh. You are nothing more than a second grade forum moron. No wonder that you needed someone else's cue to jump in. Now go back to your UNITED STATES dominated world (cause you know, America is a bit larger than the US of A).

OK, wtf is your problem?  This was a light hearted ribbing fuckwit.  I'm certainly not serious about it and neither was anybody else in the thread.  I just jumped in because you seemed to take his comment so seriously and it was fun to tease you (since I do find it funny when people get upset over the differences between American English and English English when in a place were everybody primarily speaks American English).  I figured you would just stick to teasing back but it seems tongue in cheek hasn't been invented where ever you come from yet.  Seriously, what the hell is your problem?  Has the UN put a wit embargo on your country until human rights improve or something?  What out of everything said warranted a response like that?

Other than the fact your upset about being so wrong in this debate.

 Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

As far as I am aware it's not impossible for two different things to have the same name.

So they can both be football. As can Australian Rules Football. Which is also older than NFL. I can make up a game right now and call it 'football' and be right. Sure, it might be an issue over which we can all say stupid things and be dicks about, but what's the point... that's what the politics forum is for.

(I'd like someone to explain where the 'foot' bit comes in in NFL, though. From my limited exposure the ball seems to be mostly in hands.)

Pulled the map off wiki, which had no explanation for the color differences, thus as I said, I didn't fully understand what it meant, but it was very colorful.

However, you are in fact wrong.  Your map left out Japan, which most certainly uses the word soccer (well, Socca actually, as they say it).  If that is what your map is about.  What the hell is your map showing exactly?

Australia officially uses the word Football. It's the FFA, Football federation of Australia. Most people call it soccer here too, the team is the Australian "soccaroos", but the sport is still officially Football.

I don't know what the fuck you're trying to prove. The official governing body (FIFA) names it football. It's football. You can call it whatever the fuck you want but you're still wrong.
