Hrm.. so I wonder if the Japanese understand most of the subtle (and not so subtle) racial tension jokes and social commentary in Boondocks, or if it's just taken as a pure comedy.

Well, Huey says that "Ronald Reagan is a demon" instead of "Ronald Reagan is the devil", so that phrase right there is kinda lost in context.
