Oh for God's sake.  That's all this day needed.  EA eats bioware + EQ movie.  I'm sure the e-peen will be plentiful.

Your link isn't working, to the IGN news.

Although IGN is quoting "reliable sources", and might've had the scoop/rumor, I'm pretty sure this can be confirmed because it also was in Variety magazine.

Avi Arad producing? Writer of 300 penning the script?

Scary stuff indeed.

I'm personally a huge evercrack addict... have played both 1 and 2 for years... but, the truth must be said, this is going to be the worst movie ever made. Even worse than that Dungeons and Dragons movie.

I can envision it all.  Epic battles with dogs and rats followed by long, silence-filled pauses.  The anticipation is killing me.

C'mon now. Did you just wake up? Of course that's green.

I really hope this is a movie montage of the worst parts of EQ1.

Because I would watch it twice.

Dungeons and Dragons film was great!  Especially when Elwood said, "She's too skinny, lad! What you need is a good dwarven woman.  One with a beard you can hang on to!!!!!  HAHAHA!"  God, I laughed like I was being tickled by raccoons.

Add in the rest of the Wayans and Carrot Top. Then hire the special effects guy from Twilight Zone: The Movie and get them all in a river with a chopper overhead.

As bad as that one was, it still doesn't compare to the awe-inspiring magic that is... EQ Girls.

I wonder if they can get these two to star in the EQ movie. I'm sure it won't cost more than a few crack rocks.

I never saw the D&D film, but that line is ripped off from Lord Flash in Blackadder II. When he was talking to Baldrick the bridesmaid.

Oh those two chicks are ok. I don't see them as crackheads or dumb whores. They're just a pair of not-very-good "actress"-models that some fucktard from SOE or their ad agency thought would be good (read: pretty) enough to read some lines in a bar while looking glamorous to the kinds of people who hang out in bars while talking about how great EQ is.
While clearly not having a fucking clue what they're talking about beyond the skim-over info sheet they were handed 10 minutes before the camera started rolling.

This is going to be one awful movie. I can already feel it. Not because I dislike EQ, but because I can't see how you can make a decent movie out the "lore" that is in EQ. What the hell is this movie going to be about?

Hot chicks with lots of cleavage and wearing virtually nothing.  There's a reason that blond chick is on almost every EQ box ever made.
