I tried to order an adult game online and got an auto cancellation notice about my order. Apparently Oklahoma is making it very hard on these guys to send this kind of stuff through the mail. It probably has to do with our so-called "Games as Porn" law which I thought had been struck down. Though, I won't lie, this game basically is porn.

I agree. Companies get really worrisome about this stuff. You should see how convoluted the laws are for shipping alcohol to Arizona. It's as if it changes daily. Also, you've got PM.

Interestingly enough, in their order cancelled email, they gave me a link to another company that might be willing to do it. I'm not sure why one would and the other wouldn't, but there you go. Answered your PM BTW. :) I should know if the other company is willing in 24 hours or so.

I remember the bombing. I actually slept right through it though where I lived at the time it was the equivalent of a sonic boom. Got up and went to work and couldn't figure out why everyone was so upset for the first few minutes.

It's like my Calculus teacher who left his radio off the whole morning on his commute to campus on 9/11. He came in to his 8 AM class (Pacific Time) to start yelling at the class for getting an average score of 30% on the test the day before. Then he suddenly stopped when he looked at everybody and was afraid he had been to harsh somehow because everybody looked like they were about to cry, heh.

On 9/11, I walked into a shitty elective about Jewish theater through the ages and told the teacher that TV was more important than her and walked out. I don't know if she knew at the time what I was talking about, but she never brought up my comment.

Aw, don't hate on Oklahoma, Oklahoma is OK.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something. We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

The cars rust something unbelievable in certain parts of Oklahoma for some reason. Other than the sheer amount of dry counties, I don't have much for or against Oklahoma ;-)

I was playing EQ when 9/11 went down....
Well, to be more specific, I was trying to sell some shit in NFP. I can hardly call that "playing."

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation. -William Gibson

Funnily enough I couldn't sleep (9/11 was late in the night for me) so I was up watching CNN right as it happened and watched it all unfold on TV.

I was in EQ as well. For some reason I remember East Commons, so I may have been selling shit in the tunnel, or it may just be an iconic memory of EQ that got associated with it. Anyway, it was late at night, being in Australia. My nephew rang me and asked what I was doing. He told me to go to the TV. (which channel? ANY channel!) and we watched it unfold. Went and woke up my parents (was staying with them at the time) and told them to put the TV on, and that we were at war. (hey, if the US goes anywhere, so do we..) Saw the second plane smack into the second tower, watched a lot of TV all night. I can't really remember much else after that. Or specifics about the following days. Watched a lot of CNN and BBC world. Actually, I may have been at a multi-day guild Ragefire camp, in Solb.. I really can't remember properly. It was around the same time.
