Tabula Rasa - Beta Gameplay Videos

Gameplay videos with commentary from the Tabula Rasa closed Beta.

The Flash videos are 512x384. If you need a standalone program on Windows to view Flash (FLV) files you can try FLV Player or Riva FLV Player.

The Windows Media Video 9 (WMV9) and H.264 MPEG-4 (H.264) videos are 1024x768 and are comparable to each other in quality (just pick whichever format you prefer).

To view the H.264 MP4 files you'll need something like VLC media player, QuickTime, or Nero ShowTime which comes with Nero.

Character Creation (1:30 min) - Okay not a gameplay video, but something to watch if you are curious what the customization options are.
Flash (3.87 MB), WMV9 (18.8 MB), H.264 (17.5 MB)

Movement Controls (2:59 min) - TR's unusual movement control scheme.
Flash (13.7 MB), WMV9 (37.4 MB), H.264 (34.9 MB)

Tutorial Walkthrough (20:10 min) - TR's Tutorial from start to finish. These are the same as the ones found here so you don't need to download them again if you did earlier.
Flash (92.7 MB), WMV9 (252 MB), H.264 (240 MB)

Imperial Valley CP Attack (14:21 min) - Attacking the Imperial Valley Control Point in Concordia Wilderness.
Flash (71.2 MB), WMV9 (179 MB), H.264 (167 MB)

Imperial Valley CP Defend (10:04 min) - Defending the Imperial Valley Control Point in Concordia Wilderness.
Flash (54 MB), WMV9 (126 MB), H.264 (117 MB)

Divide Front Lines (10:40 min) - Tour of the Concordia Divide Front Lines.
Flash (47.2 MB), WMV9 (133 MB), H.264 (124 MB)

Am I the only person that upon entering turns up the brightness to negate that annoying darkness devs are intent on adding as "atmosphere"?

TR has it's moments but I don't find it holding my interest like other mmos have.I find it quite easy to log off and do something else without any hesitation.

Aside from cover looking cool I have yet to see it make a difference, standing in the open or running from sandbag to sandbag has no effect on the outcome of the fight.

As stated many times on here and elsewhere 'meh'

Yeah I always turn up the gamma though I didn't in the videos just so people can see what it looks like by default.

Crouching definitely makes you do more damage (about 20% in the few weapons I tested).

It's not clear getting behind partial "cover" is worth it given the inconsistent handling of line of sight between what the game is telling you you see and what your weapon can actually "see". Usually if you do try and get behind some partial cover you end up having to listen to a constant stream "I can't see that" messages while being forced to watch your target's hit bar to see if you are actually hitting it or not.
