I see like 2 games I want (others are on the 360 as well).  Not sure either will run on my rig.  Joy.

Not huge on FPS/RTS.

Stranglehold looks interesting in that it's a shameless action game that doesn't involve shooting zombies or ugly disgusting aliens from another universe or some such crap.

Son of a bitch. I've had You Are Empty on preorder because I thought it as an error by Gamespot and that no game could be called that. I find out it's a Shooter based in 1950s Russia. GAY.

Some sort of ridiculous post modern game. I don't even know. It was called You Are Empty.

FPS was the last thing I thought.

Fear Expansion, Orange Box, Painkiller: Overdose, Jericho, Witcher, Hellgate, CoD4, Gears of War, Mercenaries 2, Hell's Highway, Kane & Lynch - and they by mistake left off Army of Two. Good Year.

All the ones that matter are on my jpg in the other thread though, and the ones that aren't are coming out after the second week of october :P

Weird. Its been available from Paradox's Gamersgate since the end of May.

I didn't know Mercs 2 was coming to PC, so win on that, otherwise looks like its going to be an indie Christmas for me.

That's my list of game for the year.
World in Conflict (best team base RTS ever)
The Settlers: Rise of an Empire (love the settlers)
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (best squad base RTS ever)

Was going for Quake War but I hate ads. I don't like Hellgate pay/free model. You either make it free or pay but not both. It is bad for the community it is bad for gaming in general.

September
Medal of Honor: Airborne (9/4):                                When it's cheap, maybe. Like in a year's time..
World in Conflict (9/18):                                          Need to find out more about this first. Might have to DL that demo...
Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East (9/25): If reasonably priced, will pick it up early. So it can sit in the pile.

October
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (10/2):                       Will wait for the first week or so's reviews (and on here) but otherwise very interested.
Half-Life 2: The Orange Box (10/9):                          HL2:Ep1+2 deal download time, finally!
Painkiller: Overdose (10/15):                                    Got Painkiller: Black cheap recently. Might wait 'till this is 3 years old then pick it up cheap the same way. Hurrah!
You Are Empty (10/16):                                         Had no idea WTF this was, but now schild's hate has piqued my interest. I expect an f13 review!
F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate (10/23):                          Could be interesting. Will wait for reviews and the inevitable $25 sale at EB. Much like Painkiller, MoH, etc.. tongue
Gods & Heroes (10/30):                                          This name is familiar to me, but I don't know why...
Hellgate: London (10/31):                                        Don't like what I hear of their business model, but we'll see what the reviews and comments are like.

November
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (11/5):                      Here's one I'm genuinely interested in!
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (11/6):             If cheap enough, I'll buy it and throw it in the pile.
Gears of War (11/6):                                              DX10/Vista only? Or Happy with XP is the question!
Crysis (11/13):                                                       DX10/Vista only? Or Happy with XP is the question! Again.
Unreal Tournament 3 (11/19):                                 Holds potential.

Hm.. so quite a few games. But over half go into my "buy in a year's time when they're a half to quarter of their release prices" cheapass category.

Possibly a few others in there that are worthwhile that I've just never heard of..

I just want TF2, Hellgate, and UT.  I'll probably have to upgrade my stupid computer too but we'll see.

The rest can wait as I already have a giant stack of games I feel bad about buying and not playing much.

GoW and Crysis are definitely on the list if they are dx9. If not...well, they'll be cheaper when I finally buckle and install Vista. CoD4 looks nice, but I've always hated thier games. Or was that Medal of Honor. I don't know.

The one I'm probably most excited for is Kunark. Should be a good expansion after the goodness that was Faydwer, the EQ2 team rocks. Never would've believed I'd say that when the game launched, what a turnaround.

Some of the other stuff looks mildly interesting, but they always charge a bundle for expansions these days. I usually try to wait for a Gold version, I still haven't finished HoMaM5 yet and I'm waiting for a cheap AoEIII bundle because it looks shiny but I'm not a huge RTS fan. FEAR was fun, not sure it was fun enough to get more of it.

So....Kunark and maybe GoW and Crysis. Not that I'm not enthused about PC gaming, I just don't buy a ton of games, I usually get a few a year and take my time playing them. I'm still only a couple hours into Bioshock.

September:

Mild interest in WiC. Bleh on the rest.

October:

Quake Wars = Pre ordered
Orange Box = Pre ordered
Painkiller = Anything Painkiller = circular file.
Fear xpac = It goes on the backburner. Depends on how the rest of the month's titles pan out.
Gods and Heroes = I'll pick it up simply because I'm an MMO junkie, but I'm not expecting miracles.
Tabula Rasa = Pre ordered
Hellgate = The end of my social life for a good bit.

November

CoD 4 = I wasn't too hot on this until Schild started buttering it's ball sack. I hold him personally responsible for this one.
Company of Heroes xpack = Far backburner
GoW = Far backburner. Own the 360 one already.
Crysis = I expect nothing more than a very pretty tech demo. I wasn't a huge Far Cry fan, but we'll see. Pre ordered
UT3 = One of the easiest buys of the year, and that's saying something this season.

UT3 is probably the easiest game to buy this year, yea. I'm hoping they announce a "HEY CONSUMER WHORE" edition. I hope it has tits on the front and a replica bio gun 1/36th size in it.

I'm really interested in The Settlers: Rise of an Empire. Was always found of the series.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - does it still have adds?

There aren't any must have games on that list, and only 3 possibles.
(The Homm expansion I would need the original game first, the NWN 2 Expansion, and Hellgate)

Oh well, I am backlogged on actual PC games to play and there are a small handful of console releases to get plus a backlog of Wii VC and XBLA titles to pick up.

I need to buy a lot less anyhow so this is a good thing.
(I am trying to keep my entire fun expenditures for each month under 150, with an eventual goal of getting under a 100 bucks.  Things like the car repair bill I just got reinforce this decision.. 712 bucks!)

This fall/winter the only must haves are Castlevania on the PSP, and that Warhammer 40K TBS portables game.

(And whenever the next Advance Wars DS comes out..)

And I still need Galactic Assault anyhow.

Sim City Societies and Orange Box.

The former because I like building shit, the latter because I like blowing shit up.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Company of Heroes is already out. Going out to buy Settlers after class today and I can't wait for Orange Box to finally be released. Does anyone know when pre-loading of Portal and EP.2 will go up? I've been trying, but no go.

Considering "rampant piracy" or "we're still working on it", I would assume it will be scant hours before the actual release.

I played the demo on Xbox Live. It was ok, very very very very very dark. The part I played through (when I could see what was going on) was pretty standard SciFi meets Horror in the sewers under a church. If there is coop Ill pick it up, if not, maybe some time next year when there is nothing else to play.

I watched the Jericho movie, then booted up Bioshock.

I was pretty sure Clive Barker had nothing to do with that show on CBS where Major Dad blew up the world, or whatever.

Beside Hellgate, which I'll try regardless, The Witcher looks very interesting.  I've been waiting for a decent RPG game to come out on PC in this genre for awhile.  It seems to have the qualities I've been looking for, but I've been burned multiple times before.

Anyone have any early info on The Witcher?  The website is pretty spiffy at least.
