I was surfing www.xbox.com and found this. Its a pretty cool idea, I would like to see how it works. Although I think it might be obsolete with the Xbox Live voice chat already.

I think it gets uglier every time it is posted.

I'm actually really keen on this widget, if only because it means I won't have to keep a keyboard around or use that damned on-screen keyboard ever again.  Will also make the upcoming MMOs (MUO, AoC) much easier to tolerate.

If you play a MOG on your 360, I can't feel sorry about any hardships you might endure.

I've got an LG enV or whatever the hell it is called (fold phone from verizon), it is awesome for text messages, and my thumbs handle that pretty quick.  Adding it to the controllers on my 360 sounds like a good idea, since I'm used to using a small thumb keyboard.

edit:

What besides Final Fantasy Online and Phantasy Star Universe are out?  I have heard that Warhammers was supposed to be 360/PC, but the site says just PC now, & the list is:

All Points Bulletin Xbox 360 MMO 2007

CrimeCraft Xbox 360 MMO To Be Announced

Huxley Xbox 360 MMO Q4 2007

Marvel Universe Online Xbox 360 MMO To Be Announced

Stargate Worlds Xbox 360 MMO To Be Announced

The Secret World Xbox 360 MMO To Be Announced

I kinda wish CoX had a port, as it is easy for me to ride my stationary bike sometimes and play the XBOX 360, I know I could rig up a plywood table to the bike and slap a keyboard and mouse on it...but have been to cheap to buy another computer for the big screen and haven't felt like adding more shit to the living room.

Does this contraption need to be placed a particular way to work properly?  Is it likely to catch fire?  These are the things I need to know before we buy a 360.

It doesn't look terribly ergonomic, but if you mean range then as long as you stay inside your house it should work fine.  I would not worry about fire, either.  Do you unplug your TV when you go to bed?

Singe, it looks to be a thumb type keyboard that some of the PDA's and cellphones are using, if you are used to it, it works great (I can text pretty darn fast now on my LG).  It might bug my kid since he likes smaller xbox controllers, but I didn't mind a bigger and heavier controller.  As far as Xbox 360 controllers catching fire...haven't had anyone come in and tell me they got burned by them  :-D  I waited and got the elite system, which to me made more sense because I won't have to upgrade as much latter on.  It doesn't get that hot and it works great!  Plays DVD's awesome (and you don't need that addapter the old xbox needed and remote) and looks great on the big screen HD LCD.
