Austin Game Conference runs Sept 9-10.  It's a great event, like a mini-GDC.  Lots of people from the industry will be there, particularly those in the Austin area.  If you can attend, please do!  I highly recommend it.

I will be speaking again this year on the panel "Building Massively Multiplayer Games on a Budget".  On the panel ths year will be myself, talking about WW2OL, Brian Green of Near Death Studios talking about Meridian 59, Chris Allen of Skotos talking about his various games, Daniel James of Three Rrings talking about Puzzle Pirates, and Dr. Cat talking about Furcadia.  We may or may not have another panelist or a substitute panelist depending on how things shake out.  Gordon Walton moderated us last year but I'm not sure who the moderator will be this year.

Also running simultaneously with AGC this year is the Women's Gaming Conference, focusing on those issues of particular import and relevance to the fairer sex in gaming, such as gender inclusive game design, getting women interested in gaming, and career opportunities for women in the games industry.

For more information, you can check out the following web sites:

If anyone is going to be there and wants to drop me a line or just say hello, feel free!

Meh.  I hate going anywhere in this city.  Traffic has been a fucking joke for years.

Hey, while you are there ask the Women's Gaming Conference why there are large female breasts in online games but no huge really mammoth breasts like some of the female porn stars have?

I was supposed to be going, but that fell threw. I'm rather....well, not so sure if I'd say pissed, but I'm definately something. They were pampering press pretty well, particularly NCSoft's party/get-together/shindig/thing. Meh, oh well, I'll probably sit at home now and play through the Evil Genius Demo 8 more times wondering if Fable Tuesday will ever arrive.

Just for some discussion, but seems to me that maybe there's more to Bruce than he's let on - being a financial investor for a single MMOG doesn't get you landed onto a discussion panel of that nature, and certainly proven over the years, neither does posting on game-focused bulletin boards.

So fess up on the bio, Bruce.

Bruce: Did you work at the Netcom building in San Jose circa 1994?

You have apparently not played Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox then.

Tomb Raider is the more obvious reference.

If you think the breasts in Tomb Raider are mammoth porn breasts, you need to see more porn.

Yes, that was me.  Set up the whole tech support staff, such as it was.
