Ryzom has the interesting bricks things but otherwise is more of the same. I long for a game that truly merges sci-fi and fantasy, and not in the WoW:BC sorta way. Maybe I just want some good anime.

Big-O MMO? It would never work. Just look at Auto Assault :)

Found a game called Tribal Wars that is exactly what I want right now.

I didn't think the bricks were all that interesting, myself. There were only a handful of "cost bricks" available, and too many other bricks to choose from. I think in that case less could have been more - there are no cost bricks, you pay for overages out of the relevant bar, you get a certain number of "spec points" as you move up the tree that you can use to reduce the cost of particular maneuvers you put together, and you unlock maneuvers by leveling up or through world events, and after you unlock them you can use the bricks that make them up to build your own.
