From the back of the 294 page manual.

Turn based fantasy 4X gaming with up to 21 (AI or human) players using simultaneous turns

Fifty different playable nations

More than 600 spells and 300 magic items.

Theres a lot of MTG feel here. Synergency A lot of different ways to go. Theres a counter for evething. It doesn't have the stupid mechanics of MTGO, play is straightforward. Single player or multiplayer, but multiplayer is where it is at. Hosting takes almost no bandwith and almost no CPU cycles. A common way to set the server is quick play ( turns generated when every one has played) and turns forced at 24 hours. Thats common but you can set up your server any whey you like.

Any way supporting Indy games is cool.

I started with nothing, and I still have most of it

This sounds familiar and I would bet American currency that it has been discussed, probably by Lum and that other guy who likes this sort of thing.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Google dominions 3. It is published by illwinter. theres a nice demo with a 7 turn walk through. All free. OK heres http://www.shrapnelgames.com/. the publisher. The home page for the game http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/Dom3/1.htm. I probally suck at linking but theres my poor attempt. The graphics are not grand but the game play is. Or, at least I am liking it.

I played the demo for Dominions 2 as I believe it was naum who was really into it and turned me onto it.  Very detailed game, very hard to get into and get through, but once you did it was supposedly like crack with how good it was.  I got eaten in the demo for it quite pathetically.

Naum should be by anytime now to regale you with tales of Dominions splediforousness.

Seems cool but I never got over the hump enough to enjoy it much.

"Should the batman kill Joker because it would save more lives?" is a fundamentally different question from "should the batman have a bunch of machineguns that go BATBATBATBATBAT because its totally cool?". ~Goumindong

Presently playing a PBEM with a dozen other players… …there is a 62 player game going on (with every Nation/Age combo in play) that has an interesting AAR thread

Ummm whoa.  I had no idea 3 was out.  I played the holy hell out of 2 last summer.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll definitely be checking this out in a couple months after I pass some state board tests.
