I wish more cities would do that actually. It's a great way to contain adult entertainment into a zone where it's easily policed and controlled.

And you'll have an easier time finding hookers in a city you aren't familiar with...

win:win situation.

From here.

Quote
ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Investigators are looking into who altered pro wrestler Chris Benoit's Wikipedia entry to mention his wife's death hours before authorities discovered the bodies of the couple and their 7-year-old son.

Benoit's Wikipedia entry was altered early Monday to say that the wrestler had missed a match two days earlier because of his wife's death.

A Wikipedia official, Cary Bass, said Thursday that the entry was made by someone using an Internet protocol address registered in Stamford, Connecticut, where World Wrestling Entertainment is based.

Doesn't seem likely - its not a fooling around sort of post, and comes from an area close to the organisation involved. It states that the reason that Benoit was replaced in a match was because his wife had died. It suggests to me that it is likely that McMahon et. al. knew about Benoit's wife's death prior to the discovery of the bodies, which in itself is fine - but that's not what they told the police, so they lied to investigators of a homicide. They need to cart McMahon and his cronies off for interrogation, IMO.

From some of the articles reagrding the wiki edit:

"Further investigation shows that the IP address used to make the first edit is located in Connecticut, but the IP address is not linked to any computers or servers used by the WWE. The second edit was made by a computer in Australia from a wireless network."

Obviously it should be investigated, but this is wiki after all. Of course, Fox news is already reporting it as fact.

The report I heard on NPR suggested that the pre-death posting of the wife's death was speculation turned to rumor which was then taken as fact by the wiki poster, the poster having admitted as much. Then again, I'm not following this story closely.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe
