Anybody else getting this strange phenomenon where if you check unread posts since last visit, only a few show up, yet when you check the actual forums and subforums, there are tons of unread postings?

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

What happens when you hit the "All Unread Link"?

It seems to have corrected itself over the course of the day. I clicked on the link you mentioned, and the listing didn't change, but my listing of 'unread' has grown over the day, so I'm not sure how telling that is.

Why are you asking that in this thread?

Because I went back 3 pages and couldn't see one that was in any a sorta 'Issues' thread.

Feel free to point out the blatantly obvious one I musta missed and then call me a tool.

There are a couple of ad threads though they are a couple of months old now.

Why not just create a new thread? schild handles all the ad stuff and he may not look at this thread since he lets me worry about the Web server/forum software stuff.

But doing so might push that highly informative Transformers thread, or the XP Suxxors thread down one place.  I'm not sure I can handle that kind of responsibility.

I'll throw a PM at him.

Take a screenshot of the survey ad, or at the very least, get the domain for it. Once again, as with every time the ads rotate, a couple of annoying ones sneak through for a little bit.

They should be able to accommodate you.  Nearly everything comes GF these days.  You can even use my pizzelle recipe that I stuck in some other thread and just use all the GF substitutes.  Rice flour works okay.  You don't even have to add Xanthan gum or anything because you want the cookies to be as thin as they can be without disintegrating.  Being gluten free has really never been easier, it seems.  (well, if you like to bake)  My aunt had celiac disease and made some lovely stuff.  Unfortunately she died (not of anything related!) and took her recipes with her.   huh

Excellent derail, I have to say.

Why thank you.  I've learned a lot from your tutelage.

I found waffles the other day.  Waffles!  I am in bliss.
