O Boy, that was good.

The "ruff ruff ruff" noises in the song were pretty funny, but the silence that came just as she launched then the thud = classic.

Apparently she is a Norweigan "pop" star. I wish we treated our popstars like that here in the states, could you imagine the hilarity if Britney Spears tried that and got faceplanted? Imagining that makes me laugh even more.

The part that gets me is her groan right after she lands.

I don't think Britney would try a stagedive.  Well, she might NOW, but can you imagine her diving tits-first into a crowd when she was at the height of her popularity?  No chance.

It would not have been as funny then though. The hilarity I see in my mind is hearing the hollow "thwack" of her bald noggin smashing into the beer soaked floor at some House of Blues.

Rule #1 of stage diving: You ALWAYS make sure your people are there for you.

ALWAYS. Do the little circle hand motion "I'm jumping there, cool?" If they don't nod and put hands up, you don't jump.

At least the dancers stay professional and hold their poses on stage.

Looks more like she fell off the stage rather than stage dove.

No way. Look at her run up and leap. It's definitely a dive. The sound makes it. I think actually seeing her hit the deck would put in the category of sad, but just hearing the *whomp* followed by the "uuuuugh" is just priceless.

Oh man that totally made it for me. She just slams into the ground, groans from the impact... and they just stand there. No running around, no yelling. You wouldn't even know anything happened except for the sound of her hitting the deck and groaning. Brilliant!

She actually broke a knee in that episode, but didn't make much of a fuss over it except showing up in a cast for a few months after. It was a source of lots of humor, including much self-deprecating humor from Mira Craig herself, to her credit. She got pretty good mileage out of the whole thing, career-wise.

Also, she does not really rap, that's just a bad song with some odd elements in it.

Now, if you want more Norwegian folk music, might I suggest

That was awesome!  I imagined it as a song from the musical version of Legally Blonde.

My wife missed it the first time she saw the clip mostly because she didn't heard the thud and groan.  I should have told her what to expect, but I was hoping that it'd catch her the first time and be hilarious.  My fault for having the PC speakers too low, I guess.

I traded in my fun blog for several legal blogs. Or, "blawgs," as the cutesy attorney blawgosphere likes to call 'em.

Yes. Yes they are.

That's a great wank video. It's a much better satire than that shitty Jewel firehose video of a few years ago.

Apparently not actually satire. Though clearly tongue in cheek.
