There's nothing wrong with the videogame being released today. It's a fine game. The ONLY problem, is it's called Shadowrun. They should've changed the name just like they did with Deus Ex: Clan Wars (to Project Snowblind). Unfortunately, they didn't. Of course, renaming Deus Ex: Clan Wars doomed it to failure. So uh, yea, i can see why they stuck with Shadowrun.

I was right with ya on the 'just ignore it' part until I played it and found out how much they were going to charge.

$60 for a game shipping with 10 maps, multiplayer online, during a free beta, on the same console, of a game that's releasing in four months. Additionally, TF2 is out for the PC folks this year. Shadowrun just isn't that interesting. It's Auto Assault wasteful: years and years of time and money and effort spent by a talented team for a game no one will ever play.

*PLUS* it purports to be set in my favorite tabletop RPG setting, and then doesn't use a single recognizable element of said setting. :)

I'd be more vitriolic, but FASA studios has been closed, some of the cowards that did this are hopefully out of jobs, and Microsoft is going to have to eat the cost of development. I think they've suffered enough.

Ok, right, it's still fun and even if there's only a couple games going at a time online, I'll enjoy it.

Voodoo, your decor is super-super.  I'm almost on-board with the wicker.  Almost.

The prevalence of small animal skulls is a bit creepy though.

We have some large animal skulls too, if that helps.

Thanks for the compliment Yeg! I do have a hankerin' to shellac the wicker to darken it up a bit. My home is my pride and joy, and I am VERY finicky about it. I spent an hour cleaning before I took those pictures.  :-D

Assuming you're talking about me, my wife is an even nerdier person than I am. So yes, actually, we do have plans to have kids someday. ;)

I mean all the people with breakables and valuables strewn about the place within 4' of the floor.  Those with kids know what I mean as it's a mistake almost everyone makes.. and after that first one's gone you don't make it again.

Oh, we know our place isn't childproof.  It keeps people from bringing their annoying kids to our house.

Seriously though, we know we have to work to do when the time comes, but we've chosen to enjoy life as (relatively) care free young adults while we can.

I love V-Lily and Sauced's house.  It suits them perfectly.  The green walls look like they're the exact colour of the green mambas I saw at an exhibition once.  Of course, V-Lily having snake coloured walls doesn't surprise me at all! I love all their stuff, too!

Oh totally. Assuming we ever do have rugrats, the semi-expensive (sigh) Wizard of Oz commemorative cows will be moved to a much safer position.

Well Kansas is the second largest cattle state (as far as head of cattle) in the country behind TX.

Nah, I get it.  My office is more dull than most the rest of the house, the upstairs rooms having taupe/beige/me not sure walls.  You probably can't tell but my living room/kitchen/dining area has green (peppercorn?) walls, the master bedroom has yellow (goldenrod?) and the master bath has red walls.  Not as BRIGHT as VDL's house but same thing, we are not afraid to diverge from white or beige.

I think the light furniture is the way to go, Voo, I just don't like wicker.  chair

Or maybe a Grand Comfort but your house isn't right for chrome.  As for childproofing, we made the most child-unfriendly house ever.  It's not a big deal, actually.

This page needs a gaming area.

Wife hasn't commented yet on actual gaming machines being visible and not hidden away somewhere.  Setup is like a day old.. so.. some tweaking and adjustments will be required.

Did you own a 360 and upgrade to the Elite? Or did the 120 gig drive convince you to make the buy?

I keep trying to convince a friend to buy my regular one (just 3 months old, because MS had to replace it) so I can subsidize an Elite. No biting though. I've hit my 20gig max a bunch already; damn them and their $150 HDD.

Yep. I got tired of dusting them so I just shut em. I would've left the photos up but I dusted the desk like 3 days ago and never sat them up (it's photos of my dad as a Marine and my mom when she was 20.)

Edit: Also, I see I am not the only one who plays the "What's on their desk?" game with these threads. You missed the bottle of Tums on the left side of my desk too.
