Ever heard of Fung Wan Online? I hadn't either. The graphics look pretty much like EQ1 but all asian styled. According this article it's made in Malaysia and based on a Chinese comic book. The screen shots all seem to be at 640x480 which make it look like a console game.

On PvP:
Quote
Players should only kill other players during wars, skirmishes or duels. Otherwise, they will amass player-killing (PK) points, which act as a deterrent – the more PK points you have, the more deficiencies your character will have (e.g. increased prices when buying items, lower chances of finding rare items from looting, stat penalties, etc).

Sounds pretty much like Lineage+DAOC as it also mentions relics you steal from other guild keeps. Blah.

And finally the biggest supprise of all:
Quote
If there’s one criticism about FWO’s gameplay, it’s that there aren’t enough things to do other than killing creatures and people.

Who would have thought? Another cookie cutter EQ.

Getting your Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on?

Wait, there's more! You get to kill Donkey Kong!

I think I'll pass kthx.

Edit: Oh and didn't I read somewhere that MMORPG's were banned in Malaysia for being un-Muslim or was that cell phone gambling games?

Played it in beta, when someone linked it on the old WTO.

OY. It was DAoC, except with less interesting combat, and a LONG level curve ahead of even considering playing PVP. Snoozing Tiger, Hitting Dungheap is a more accurate description.

That would have been me who linked to it. It was an open beta. Fine, I'm naive. 1000 pardons, master.

Man alive, that screenshot brings back memories of tusker swarms on the obsidian plains and inside a BSD.  Buff, run, buff, run, heal, buff, run, heal, die.
