Just to keep up with such things.

It might not deserve its own topic. Merge if necessary.

Basically the Birmingham Brighton office is completely empty, which leaves CoH/V Europe with no staff of its own. I expect the Europe servers to be merged with the NA servers. Not sure how it might impact on other titles in Europe. Apparently there are jobs for people to go to within NCsoft, if they want them.

Don't know about Austin or how that effects anything.

EDIT: fixed location

Wait?  Weren't the serves together, then with the Europe launch they let some people move to those servers, and now they are shutting them down?  Wow...

He has a nice entry talking about corperate ethics which ties into all the layoffs in the gaming industry.  It's good to know that despite our political alignments being different and perhaps coming at the problem from different angles, we're in full agreement about taking care of your emplolyees.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Are you afraid Lum will pass along a keylogger?  He's so sneaky!

If you'll notice, Lum already stole Schild's avatard.

This is the latest round of retrenchments. It's NCsoft hitting the underperforming NCWest division. Again.

The European servers have been up for a while, but I don't think the German- and French-(?) servers would have enough players to justify continuing and all the English speaking players can fit into the NA servers.

EDIT: Adam Martin has some good insights - bye bye NCOrigin, hello NCArenaNet
