I'm surprised there's no post, you guys disappoint! -9 geekcred. Seems she had Leukemia which I didn't know. With her passing, perhaps the franchise can end with the movie.

It seemed like an exotic name. I thought, "Poet? Author maybe?" And then I went to Wikipedia and learned that this only matters to Star Trek nerds.

"The widow of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry is best remembered as the gorgeous Nurse Christine Chapel from the original series, the pesky and officious Lwaxana Troi from The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, and of course the ubiquitous voice of Star Trek computers in movies, TV, and animated films."

Sucks that she's gone, the ST computer voice will never be the same. At least she was able to do the new movie before she passed.

Smart money would have had her recording large amounts of computer dialog. Then again, how much computer dialog do you need?
New computer voice should be Clive Owen.

Why am I homeless? Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question. They called it The Prayer, its answer was law Mommy come back 'cause the water's all gone
