I really, really enjoy the game. That said, it seems you are either hooked into it quickly, or absolutely loathe it.
Play it multi player with just you. Save yourself from the plot <3

Since the demo didn't work for me, I have questions:
How many players? Co-Op? Local Co-Op or XLBA?
time to play through?

2 player co-op through Live (4 player got cut a little ways before the release). No local co-op. Average play through seems to be about 10 hours.

The combat in Too Human is some of the worst combat in a game ever. Ever.
The loot, however, touches me in tingly places.

Hrm, berserker feels OP to me. I remember having more of a challenge in the demo with the champion.

Yea, I'm playing a berserker now after playing a bioengineer or whatever. He's totally OP. Or everyone else is too weak. Which is probably the case.

Is there seriously no fucking way to skip cutscenes In the demo I found mashing every button at the same time did the trick.

I think pressing B a lot skips some of them. Bioengineer was as fun as pulling teeth, but I can't say I knew how to play yet.

It's like you have to push in both analog stick and randomly start pressing buttons before it will skip. I don't understand. Back to the BIIF, I've tried the berserker, bioengineer and gunner dude each for about 20 minutes and I can't get into this game at all. For whatever reason, I was really into this game for the full hour I played in the demo. Maybe I"Ll play champion and see if that gives me the spark back but meh....

Man. Holy crap. Replaying areas increase drop rate to roughly Diablo 2 endgame standards. There really is an absolute fuckton of loot in this game. Also, I just because a fucking menace. I'm progressing slowly because I'm replaying the Icy Forest like 4 times - but I just went from 176 power dual swords to 374. HAR.

OK, so like I said above, I capped 50 last night.
I played my first 50 with a berserker cybernetic so take that into account. I don't think many of the reviews out there really expressed this game as i found it. I do however feel that the mediocre scores were deserved.
The game feels like a cross between Phantasy Star Online and Ninety Nine Nights but with thumb stick swooping instead of button mashing. Apart from the explosion of loot after kills, the similarities to diablo are vastly over stated. IN NO WAY is this game a DMC or a ninja gaiden action game. Like i said think NNN. The online could have been pushed further much like PSO.
Co-op class make up plays almost no factor, your just playing with someone to keep you company and keep you from dying the usual 50 times (if you happen to have armor 10 levels below your current level). I have yet to level some other classes, which I actually intend to do. But it would be nice to be able to see which class my random co-op buddy is, so I can maybe tell him to stay back and range attack while I melee... But no XboxPwnJu184 insists on throwing his commando's body under the trolls hammer, death after death after death. Basically it would be nice to have at least a 3rd player in the co-op to help me feel like my class had a purpose.
Some parts of the game look amazing with the lighting and the modeling, others, not so much. In fact there are so many awkward and horribly rendered and unfinished effects that it gives it an overall feel of being hurried out the door unfinished. But like i said some parts look amazing, specifically the severed-head oracle guy. For some reason he pops out as almost movie quality CG.
The Cut scene dialogue and action sequences are truly cringe worthy. They do make sense and were executed properly. It's just that the writing and decision making on what is being said and done in the scenes is so fucking dorky it makes me want to apologize to anyone who might be in the room while I'm playing. Yes a video game nerd calling something dorky, it's that bad.
Some of the character models look good and other look as though they were phoned in. Namely the badguy, fucking whats his name... nice pony tail. I'm sorry i can't take him seriously as a bad guy if he has a fucking pony tail. If he's so bad ass then why does he feel the need to restrain that evil dark mane of his? Is he sick and tired of it getting in his face when he's performing his most evil and darkest deeds? Don't even get me started on the cannon-fodder space marines, they look like someones sad traveling-salesman father who took up this space soldier gig just to help pay the mortgage on the space house in the space suburbs.
Is it fun? yes. Does it feel unpolished, unfinished? yes. Does it have potential? yes. Is it unique? yes Should you buy it? Maybe, rent it first. Will I keep playing it? Duh, I still have to get a full set of level 50 red armor spec'd perfectly for my class.
For what it's worth that's my take on too human.
P.S. Notice i didn't mention the camera... It's not that big of a deal.

Yes, sir. I found a level 40 dual-staff weapon blueprint when I was about level 22 and I've been hanging onto that bitch. It does something like 1200 damage. I replayed a few areas but not too much, and I finished the story at level 35 or something. Now it's all about loot and achievements. I find that B will skip cutscenes. Also I have been distracted from this game by Disgaea 3.

You seem to find a number of lv. 40 blueprints in the worldtree cyberspace thingy.

The combat in Too Human is some of the worst combat in a game ever. Ever.
I was prepared to disagree with you on this. For the most part it isn't any worse than Diablo or PSO. Then I got to the last boss and died about 20 times because the targeting is horrendous. I'd try to face the boss and interrupt its "kill you in five seconds with a purple energy beam" attack with laser fire, only to see Baldur spin around and fire at a random zombie flunky instead. Eventually bridging the gap between me and the boss, I'd get a couple hits in before it would teleport and repeat.

I'll have to disagree there, but I was using a berserker and therefore no guns. The purple beam tickled a bit. Maybe you need more armor.
As for the combat, I don't see what is wrong with it but I'm not prepared to argue opinion on this. The targeting with guns is kinda sketchy but melee is fine... but then I haven't played with guns much so I could be missing out on some techniques. After a couple runs through the first area, I was melee-juggling shit left and right. Juggling is in fact very important and combined with proper flicking between enemies can mean the difference in seven-to-eleven deaths and a deathless combat. Of course, a ranged attack is very important for those exploding enemies, and I had great success with the LS+RS-forward attack... is that the Fierce? I forget. I'd use a Ruiner only when swarmed, occasionally use the spider, and I think I used the sentient weapon like two times ever. Most of the time it was a doubletap on RS, jump, RS or LS+RS.
There's definitely some skill in the combat, it's not just pointing RS toward an enemy.
