I played a game vs a colleague today and won. Because my team had been fairly badly mauled in its previous outing I had two merc linewomen in my Amazon team - one of which inflicted an injury and then picked up the MVP after the match for a total of 7 SPPs. Before the match I had 40k gold in my treasury, after the match I won 100k for my (well-deserved) victory. After the game had gone through the results screen and told me I'd won 100k, the next screen allowed me to recruit either of the two mercs who'd played for me. "Fuck yes!" I thought. "I'll buy a level 2 lineperson for the bargain price of 70k!". Except I couldn't because at that point I still only had 40k to spend. I had to skip past there, passing up the opportunity to buy either of them and go to the main league browser before my treasury updated with the winnings (open league, no match validation required).
Fuck you Cyanide!

As weird and silly as it sound, I think I read somewhere that such bullshit it's an accurate representation of the Official (Boardgame) Rules, intended to prevent exactly the kind of bargain you were trying to score. I might be wrong though, can't remember were I read that.

No, per the end of game sequence, you do upgrade rolls, then you get paid, then buying journeymen is much later.
Pretty much everything the happens on the current end game sequence is wrong.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED I SAY, to discover that Cyanide's implementation of sequenced events is less than exemplary.

Well, at least their networking code is rock solid.

So when does Acony get the license from GW? I'll board a plane the following day! There are a bunch of us in the office who *really* want a crack at making a Necromunda game.

If I had the money to get back in, that would be number one on my list. I have half a prototype design doc in my head right now.

Necromunda was pretty fun, and would lend itself well to a platform Laser Squad style turn based game.

Best GW game ever. Please one day let it be done, just not by Cyanide.

Laser Squad I tried to make it into a boardgame myself in 1994. I produced so much stuff, I was totally in love with it. Then I got a son later that year, and I kind of abandoned the project, you know...
