If those were the two choices, it would be hard to decide.

But I'm fine with what I am.  smiley

Madagascar is in most ways a typical Third World African dump, but if I lived there instead of the USA I'd have an 83% smaller chance of getting AIDS. How odd.

The website also rates how ugly you are, so it's probably factoring in the lack of sex thing.

If The United States were your home instead of Norway you would...
have 2.9 times more chance of being unemployed
experience 80% more of a class divide
have 72.96% more chance of dying in infancy
use 54.67% less electricity
be 6 times more likely to have HIV/AIDS
consume 33.49% more oil
have 26.88% more babies
spend 48.68% more money on health care
make 20.82% less money
die 1.84 years sooner

I think I'll stay in Norway.

This is kind of retarded since the percentages don't tell you anything.  If my my healthcare costs would go from 10 dollars a year to 20 dollars a year!  and my taxes go down from 60,000 a year to 50,0000 a year they would show as:

Healthcare costs go up 100%
Taxes go down 17%.

Which implies I'd be better off, when in fact I'm out $9,990 a year.

Except of course you would generally be expected to know something about the country you live in so as to make the comparison.

Well, thats a fair assumption. Lets see:

USA 46400 -  6719 = 39681 / 1797 = 22,082 / hour

Austria: 39400 - 3608 = 35792 / 1483  = 24,139 / hour

Guess I'll have to work 3 more hours per week now to catch up to you moneywise. So please, everybody post more here on f13 so I don't get bored.  awesome, for real

Cost of health care also doesn't count the quality or availability of treatment. There's something to be said for walking into a hospital and getting treatment without having to take out a loan for it. I don't understand why that's such a difficult concept for people.
