The Presence of Your Vehicle Has Been Documented

on: September 09, 2010, 11:29:12 PM

Looks like a gas main, 24" pipe, initial reports were a plane crash, but those appear to be unfounded.  140+ homes with fire damage, 50+ 'severe' fire damage or completely gone, at least 5 dead so far.  Fire trucks are radioing in from locations they are getting called to that there is absolutely nothing there.  Location is apparently 3 blocks from the San Andreas fault line, but the cause of the explosion is still unknown.

I can smell the fire 30 miles to the South.

Almost definitely natural gas.  Early footage looks far too clean burning to be solely structural fire.

Seriously?  I was wondering if there was a fire last night...

I smelled something burning all the way down my drive from the Peninsula to the South Bay on 280 last night. I live right off of 280 and could smell the same smell from my house. The wind was blowing from the N last night as well. I'm assuming it's that fire I was smelling.

When is California not on fire? That would be news.

I'm pretty sure that this is Obama's fault.  All the oil rigs and gas mains are exploding on HIS watch!

On fire yes.  We usually aren't exploding though.

Probably more healthy than fire.

Bombers take time to scramble, anyone close to the seat of the fire by the time the bomber reached it was dead.  So they were using the retardant solely for saving property.

This is probably the stuff they're using.  I have my doubts.
