I don't think that the fact that I have a strange phobia, act impulsively (I don't do actions that hurt other people) and I got into a lot of trouble when I was a kid are sociopath tendencies. Mostly harmless, mischievous trouble, I have to add. Having had to check those silly things shot me up from 12%. I'm not sure being crap at keeping jobs should count either. Does smoking pot count as a big law?

Empathy requires a feeling of the other person's emotional situation, not just an awareness of it. Now, a sociopath might get away with being empathetic and uncaring, but I don't think that's what you're describing at all. So I'm going to say you're not actually empathetic at all.
