And then I saw the price. $80 CDN. For regular edition. $120 for the gold edition. Fuck you Ubisoft. You can take your overpriced, DRM infested shit and shove it.

It's a direct result of the Canadian dollar tanking. Every game is $75-80 new. If so, it definitely looked as opposite of Rainbow 6 as it could be, and if the multiplayer runs like that I doubt the singleplayer is going to be the nice slow tactical pace it used to be. And come on, arguing about the difference between $70 and $80 isn't really about the price at that point. You've got a separate bone to pick, and that's totally fine. But it's not like the price tipped you from impulse-buy into no-fucking-way land all by itself. The Fallout 4 and the next Hitman are both $69.99 and Just Cause 3 is $66.49. If those publishers can price their AAA games under $79.99 then so can Ubi and EA. I refuse to buy Ubisoft games unless I can get them for dirt cheap. Besides, the only upcoming game I might be willing to pay full price for is Fallout 4. I'm still waiting for GTA 5 to drop in price. If I'm going to be overcharged for a game, I might as well be playing it on a console. |
