Title: RIP Colonel Potter Post by: Ingmar on December 07, 2011, 09:52:19 AM I am just old enough to remember watching M*A*S*H as a kid, for whatever reason his was one of my favorite characters.

I just read something about him still going strong after all these years. He was the first real character change I encountered in a show I liked. Hated his ass at first, but I had gotten so used to Col Blake that I had no tolerance for this guy, but after that first transition season, I really grew to like this guy's character a lot more. He really made it work and gave the show a second wind - not that it needed it. However, the show did take on a more serious, rather than slap-stick routine. I never was a Dragnet fan, slightly before my time. side note, I never liked BJ replacing Trapper... That one never sat with me. I was shocked when I watched Red to find out that Ernest Borgnine was both still alive and actively working. Title: Re: RIP Colonel Potter Post by: Abagadro on December 07, 2011, 02:48:53 PM It's because he masturbates a lot.

Title: Re: RIP Colonel Potter Post by: Bunk on December 08, 2011, 05:57:59 AM Put me on both lists; big M.A.S.H. fan and part of the "he's still alive?" club. It will always hold a place for me as one of those shows I would sit down and watch with my parents when growing up.
Told a co-worker yesterday as he walked by. He asked me what he died of. I replied, "He was 96. Being old." Title: Re: RIP Colonel Potter Post by: Surlyboi on December 08, 2011, 10:11:51 AM :heartbreak:
