Title: I got a book deal! Post by: voodoolily on December 01, 2011, 09:46:42 AM Part of the reason I've been AWOL lately (besides the sprog) is that I've been busy writing. Some of you already know, but I got a contract to write Breakfast: A History for Rowman and Littlefield's AltaMira Press! My MS is due a year from today, and I have to spit out 75K words on a subject that requires a lot of research, so I'm busybusybusy. Unfortunately, this an academic press so the colorful language will be at a minimum; regardless, I hope when it's published that some of you will read it!

It has recipes for everything from wine and tarts, to the proper way to cook a badger, to the properties of zebra meat (Yellow and somewhat stringy, generally disliked by Europeans)
