Title: Horse Racing soon to change in California
Post by: Gutboy Barrelhouse on July 16, 2008, 04:21:32 AM
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has named fellow celebrity Bo Derek to a state commission overseeing horse racing in California.

The 51-year-old actress was appointed to the California Horse Racing Board on Tuesday. The position requires confirmation by the state Senate and pays $100 per diem.

Derek is an animal rights activist and horse lover who has lobbied Congress for the past five years to ban the slaughter of horses in the U.S. She also owns the pet care products company Bless the Beasts, selling dog shampoos, conditioner and fur polish.

Derek is the author of a book "Riding Lessons: Everything That Matters in Life I Learned from Horses." Her Web site said the autobiography links her life lessons with her understanding of horses.

I'm trying to keep Carlin alive.

1) How'd you get his corpse?
2) How is that possible after embalming
3) Are you selling shares in this new venture of yours?
4) How's the success rate so far?

Do horse bettors get a chance to ride Bo? Or the 10 horse, as we like to call her

Have you been to the track recently? Most of those guys would be lucky to nail anything, much less a formerly hot actress.

She was certainly a handsome young lass in her time.  First Playboy I ever saw as a youngster, and I'll never forget it.

They must also be the guys that show up at the bar at 6:00am to start power drinking.
