He's just found that it's slightly more difficult to buy out development houses now that it's widely known that being bought by EA is the kiss of death. It's costing him money now so he's going to claim that it doesn't happen anymore.

Aren't they currently destroying the venerable Battlefield series by dumbing it down, ripping off the cartoony TF2 graphics and turning it into a free game paid for entirely by a hitherto unseen number of in game ads?
