Title: That's. . . not canon. Post by: sidereal on January 09, 2008, 06:56:01 PM Clips of Vader and Yoda in Soul Calibur IV
http://kotaku.com/343089/vader--yodas-new-sciv-trailer When I saw Yoda facing down Asteroth I laughed and cried at the same time. Is there a word for that? Craughing? Lauying? I did that. I'll refuse to rent it in protest. Title: Re: That's. . . not canon. Post by: SnakeCharmer on January 09, 2008, 07:11:08 PM Surely to Yoda's buttcrack that's a well put together joke.

Post by: Sky on January 10, 2008, 12:14:19 PM That looks awesome. I agree with Riggs about the exclusivity characters, though. Mebbe they should just do one with a ton of licensed characters. Graphics look wicked.
Unfortunately, I don't have consoles and I don't hang out with the guys I used to play console games with, so this goodness will pass me by. I did love Soul Calibur whatever on the xbox, though. 2? Title: Re: That's. . . not canon. Post by: SnakeCharmer on January 10, 2008, 12:49:49 PM Or they've figured out some way to bend time and space and allow a PS3 and 360 to play on the same game server.
Fuck if I know. Edit: Or likely Schild is playing some illusionary game whereby the PS3 is good and holy and the 360 is evil incarnate. Title: Re: That's. . . not canon. Probably a pretty shallow one, but if you are expecting anything else from Soul Calibur, you don't know what you're messing with. It's so shallow that there will be very little attempt to justify why these 2 characters are in soul calibur - POOF, they're here... LIGHTSABERS, PEW PEW! Now if the game were more story driven it might be painful, but it's not, so who really cares?
He-man might have nothing to do wtih the transformers, but I can remember mixing those toys up. Are you going to tell me you never had fun making Man at Arms wrestle Wheel jack while Luke Duke and Destro did brodies in the General Lee and the Baroness froze Han Solo in carbonite? Maybe something a little easier for ole pops then? :drill: Joo bastard! Nah, we've got a few of the "playschool" transformers for the son-spawn too. The Bumblebee one is about as complicated as the 80's version of Prowl. The ability to manufacture much tinier and more detailed parts in toys (as first seen when you compare the 70's/ 80's Star Wars figures with todays multi-articulated and finely detailed versions) is being used very extensively in the new Transformers line. As a result some of the things are really fucking delicate and complex, and just the *slightest* bit of pressure the wrong way pops off an arm or head.. or the whole set of legs. Honestly, sometimes I think the things were designed for 30-somethings to sit on a shelf and remember their childhood rather than the vigorous, destructive play of a 5-12 year old.
