I'm from a very green town and commute in though, so to stare at more green would be very "meh". The girl behind me has it rough, her window looks out at 2 billboards.

My little friend at the beach in Kona (I called him Fela). He kept swimming next to me and making me want to break Section 9 of the Endangered Species Act (the "no hugging" clause).

It is omnomnoming some delicious algae. There was a freshwater aquifer about 20' from the shoreline (in the ocean) where the best algae grows, and the turtles would loll about on the beach there sunning themselves and nom on the salad bar.

Took a short weekend trip to Yosemite last weekend.  Place has to seriously be one of the most beautiful on the planet.  Bummed I only had time to see a fraction of it.

Elizabeth Lake
Hiking in the woods, found a friend
Lambert Dome
Towalame River
One of the many random awesome looking mountains in Yosemite.  I'm sure it would make an awesome sledding hill when it snows....
El Capitan
Yosemite Falls
People from just about every corner of the damn globe playing under lower Yosemite falls.
Half Dome

Ah, you must live in Deadhorsestuckinawallistan

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

A few images from my Washington D.C. Trip last month.

I took a lot of Architectural details with my nifty new 70-300 lens. This is on the old post office if I remember right.

Everyone gets a picture of the Lincoln Memorial. Only folks into architecture wonder about the ceiling. I noticed it's accurately depicted in Fallout 3 when I got there.

I went to D.C. for my dad's burial in Arlington.  Here's two from the funeral, as I figure most of us won't ever be this close to a procession. According to the Arlington rep the caisson is the same one they use for Presidents.

Dad's buried about 200 feet from this, the meorial to those who died in the Pentagon attack on 9/11.  It's a pentagon engraved with the names of all the people who died in the building that day.   There are 9 unidentified remains buried beneath this.

The past cannot be changed. The future is yet within your power.

Great photos. Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Can't beat Arlington for resting among the great.

Took this picture just now while I was watering the yard.

The plant is a Drosophyllum lusticanicum, and that fly isn't going anywhere.
