We're out of eggs and milk, and may have to gnaw on our legs to survive. Or steak and chanterelle pasties.

Choices choices!  awesome, for real

The party I was at Saturday had a long driveway packed with cars, so I just drove into their yard, which was covered with a couple feet of snow.

Frozen ground, two+ feet of snow. I've carved enough muddy ditches to know when it's safe to drive on a lawn!

The wife and I headed to Palm Springs, CA for the weekend to get away from the cold here in Denver. Sunday was a beautiful day for some golf.

I went out to take some pictures of the bright, sunny snow today, there are some amazing drift patterns and the trees are all loaded down. I discovered my finepix A700 camera dies when exposed to -3F for 20 minutes.

Heh yeah most digital cameras will struggle at -20oC, mostly cos of the batteries. Did it come back to life again afterwards?

Naw, I pose them maybe once in  a while and it takes a minute or two. I am actually a pretty hard worker.

Why are you hanging GIJOE action figures from your cubicle?

Because I like them, and I have doubles and I like looking at them.

That is R. Mika from Street Fighter Alpha 3. No cutting or bondage involved.

Stickfas action figures. Little hobby kits you can find online or at comic/hobby stores. They are great in every conceivable way.

I have a couple of these but I feel they are cheesy (after all, they are just cheap plastic) and break easy. Are you gluing them together or taping their feet down? I have a hard time just getting one to stand up by itself. If you aren't cheating, color me impressed!

Ha, no, they are certainly Stickfas toys. All posed by me, no assistance. I really, REALLY like posing well made action figures.

I think you've done a pretty cool job with some of the poses you've taken pictues of, but when you put it like that, it sounds creepy.  why so serious?

Ha, don't read into Brogarn. It makes you sound silly.  Ohhhhh, I see. Posing an action figure at your desk is just that. I have fun balancing them out and making interesting scenes.

So, they're free-standing, you've just balanced them so it works? I was actually under the impression there were weights in the feet or something.

Feh, forget the action figures. I want to know what cost $585. The second line item looks like "themostat", but that could be my eyes.

They are actually very light, which is why I have problems just getting a single guy to stand in a pose (not to mention one of the foot joints for one of my guys broke off, so he's footless). I'll have to try something more elaborate and see if I can do anything similar - time to head to the toy store and get a few more. I'm skeptical that it can be done without any assistance, but who knows.  tongue

Btw, their website is here: http://www.stikfas.com/

I get them from a small boutique store that carries random crap and toys, they are about $8 for a box. You break them out of a set and put them together almost like a model, but without any glue. There are decals to put on them for clothes/etc, with slots in strategic places to put items (such as a shield or spiked shoes or whatever).

This idea courtesy of GAF. It's the McGangBang. You take a Double cheeseburger and a Junior Chicken. You split the double cheeseburger in half and put the junior chicken in. YUM! I feel my heart slowing...
